Earth′s Seas and Seashores
I am one of the wayfarers and we love to walk along the sandy beaches and along the great trees that line their shores. We are and will always be drawn by the oceans, the seas, the large lakes and the shores that line them because we continue astonished by the power of the ocean: their unceasing motion, their mystery and their unspeakable beauty.
No, we can not stop returning here and will forever desire to sit in the sand upon the seashore to watch these great waters provide the march of its unending waves as they pound upon the land at the water′s edge. 1
All Things Seashore
During my journey, I have come to recognize that upon the shorelines of this continent, there are many more things than just beaches. Too, famous explorers have arrived by ship and their history is told at locations along these shoreline. Other travelers have made an impact in certain areas and the monuments, parks, preserves and other sites along these shorelines reflect their contribution to the human effort.
Further, there are a large number of forts that have been built upon this continent, many of which were established right here along these very shorelines, most of which were done to aid in the protection of the people inland.
Too, there are a large number of natural and manmade features on or close to these shorelines including bays, harbors, inlets, islands, lighthouses, monuments, rivers, swamps and even volcanoes. So, in creating this Seas and Seashores page, my goal has become to include as many of these many shoreline features as I can, and/or, if I have created a separate page for any such feature, include a link here to that feature page.
Please, enjoy my photos and my stories. Too, feel free to come back often.
