THE LIGHTHOUSES
The Washington Lights

The Lights of Washington Go Down Go Back
The state of Washington has eighteen lights which are active, three lights which are standing but inactive, three lights which were supplanted by automated towers; two lights which have been completely demolished; and two lights which serve as museums, one of which is still active.
The Cape Disappointment Light was the first lighthouse in the state during 1856 and is one of the ones that is still active.
