The Canyons, Gorges and Valleys
(m2cont-nam-geol-cn-grand-2009-0928.1756) The Canyons, Gorges and Valleys

Information:
Some of the wise men of this world say that the Earth has been around for 4.6 billion years, and therefore, it has had a long time for the rivers to cut through the surface into the underlying strata.
Oftentimes, however, the actual canyon is so wide that it is called a valley, but even then, there are tell tale signs that massive amounts of waterflow has occurred though that valley. What are these signs? Just look around, are there large standing promontories, or buttes in the valley. If there are even some of these in the valley, then these are usually caused by waterflow.
This gallery will explore some of the earth′s canyons and valleys.
