Self control is strength of both body and mind, calmness is mastery over your own weaknesses. It is crucial in your own life journey to never allow others to control the direction of your life, nor allow your emotions to overpower your intelligence. You must needs arrive at a turning point on your life path were your mood no longer changes based on the insignificant and/or inconsiderate actions of someone else.

Awake, look out the window and see that the rain, which fell lightly most of the night appears to have ceased. Except for the fan on my small heater, there is absolutely not sound to be heard. I rise, turn on my computer and begin recording my thoughts. I notice that there are two men in the space next to me and they have step out of their RV and begun stretching, indicating that I am not the only one who arises early. I step outside, greet them hello and then walk to the restroom. During a short talk with Chris and his bother, I learn that there is a location in this part where you can scan with your phone to get WiFi.
Returning, I grab my stainless steel sierra cup, open the rear lift door and fill it with the ingredients for my Daystart and then climb back into the rear of the jammer to continue pounding keys while eating my breakfast. Too, since I do have not yet found a replacement stove, I have resorted to my previous practice of just pouring non dairy milk into the sierra cup.
I walk to the registration station to scan the QR code, enter the provided password and connect to the internet, however, it is limited and I have no phone service.
In the late morning, I receive a beep on my computer and when looking to see what caused the beep, I found out that someone on Google did not like my review of their business and said that I gave them a Bad Review when I gave them a three out of five rating points, and thus he demanded me to remove my rating of his business, threatening he will contact Google to have my rating removed if I don′t. I began to compose a lengthy reply to his demands and after nearly and hour or writing the work, uploaded it to be part of my review.
As I have learned in the past, the words on Google are all just dust in the wind, never amounting to anything of what really matters. My response to him was if his reply to me had been done with kind words in a mild tone, I probable would have upped my rating for his business, but instead, since he chose harsh, insulting and dictatorial word, I told him that my rating of 3 is going to remain.
At two this afternoon, I begin to get out the food for my supper, chopping the vegetables and preparing to make a veggy-salmon salad. I sit outside on the picnic table to chop my food and I overhear a young man ask another man, Do you have a screwdriver? I wait for several minutes and then ask the young man, Did you get your screwdriver? to which he replies, No. I tell him that he can borrow mind, and he heads over to my car and I get out my driver. Then, when he comes to return it, I begin a conversation with him, one that eventually results in me getting out my Bible to share some scriptures showing what hope I have for the future.
Adian and I talk for about an hour during which he reveals to the that he has wondered for what purpose we are living, as well as other comments that I feel have been encouraging to me. Finally, I wish him well and encourage him to pray to God. He then leaves with his girlfriend in their car and I return to my desk and resume my key pounding.

It is nearly ten this evening when I begin this journal entry, and I almost forgot to write anything at all. Still, journal writing to me is like Bible Reading, I just must needs do it every day. It has been a nice day and I have stepped outside on several occasions to do odd things that needed to be done. However, most of my day has been cropping photos, installing my current update on many web pages and greeting the several people who would walk by the jammer. A few of these I was able to talk with, even share a thought from the Bible.
Since my stove is currently not working, I have been having my morning Daystart with cold coconut milk. Too, I have really been enjoying the chopped salads with the hemp hearts sprinkled on top instead of my regular spice mix. Now, it has just come on to ten this evening and I suppose that I will get horizontal and use my phone to read something spiritual. It seems that to use it to read the Bible or a magazine is all that it is good for currently, as there is no phone service for me here at this campground, which appears to be out of range of any cell towers.
(Day 104 TS) 45°F. 8:00 am, sunny
Journey On, Day 104
Sleeping in the Jammer
Lake Owyhee State Park Campground
Campsite Number 17
After sleeping in late, I arise and begin my morning activities. Today begins the last full day here in the No Phone Zone which is something that I personally do not like to be without. I know, it is just for five days, but I just do not like it.
Another thing that I have found out is that my deep cell battery is not holding a charge more that about an hour, so when I leave here, I will by some distilled water so that I can check to see if the battery water level is low. At the same time, I will check the level on the engine starter battery. The starter battery is working fine, but I will just check it too.
At about eight this morning, I step out of the jammer, grab my shower bag, towel and walk to the shower house for some hot water time. When I return to the jammer, I open the rear lift door and prepare my Daystart for my morning meal and then climb back into the jammer office and resume my key pounding while I enjoy my food. Again, I use coconut milk to and to my breakfast cereal and drive water from the canteen in my pack. I little later, Mark from the RV parked next to me stops by to say hello and in the conversation I mention that my stove quit on me and I am awaiting to receive the parts. Then, he asks me if I would like a cup of hot coffee, to which I answer, yes absolutely. I give him my insulated cup and tell him, If you could just put some hot water in my cup, I already have a really good instant coffee. I then get out my coffee pouches, and give him two for my cup and two more for him to try the coffee brand. Soon, he has brought out my cup filled with hot coffee. Too, Elaine calls out the window of their RV and asks, Thom, would you like a muffin also? to which I reply Yes, absolutely and in just a few minutes, Mark carries out and hands me an English muffin on a paper towel.
I return to pounding keys and working on cropping photos, continuing for over an hour and then Elaine comes over to greet me and a conversation ensues, during which she asks, We can follow you on your website, right? and I reply, Yes. I then show her the basics of how to navigate my website.
Again, I return to the jammer and resume my key pounding but later, Mark and I both step outside to look for a colorful sunset, but it is just not spectacular this evening. However, I do get a few photos that are post worthy and will upload then a little later this week after I have arrived at my next campground.
It is about ten this evening when I turn off the electronics and get into the horizontal.

Awake, arise, step out of the jammer and open the rear lift door to gather my shower gear; then I walk to the shower house for some nicely hot water. Once having finished with my shower, I return to the jammer, stow my gear and then climb into the rear of the jammer, get out my computer and begin my journal entry for today.
It is now seven-thirty and I await for Mark and Elaine to rise from there birth so that I can greet them farewell one last time before we depart for our separate journeys. They had told me that their home is in Rhode Island and that they have been on the road now for, if I remember correctly, two months and that their next destination is Yellowstone National Park. Myself, I am not be going to see Yellowstone on this northbound journey but hope to see it again upon a future one. Too, now, I have eight overnights in the Oregon State park and have twelve left, and that twelve begins at
Viento State Park on 30 May 2024. Then, on Thursday morning, 11 May, I will be leaving Oregon, driving across the
Columbia River into Washington and from there, drive to the
Yakima River.
At about six this evening, I pack out of the w-mart, drive to the d-mart and take up a space new the bulk of the other parked RVs, pulling in next to a island curb. I then watch videos for a time while I eat, read for some and finally get into the horizontal for the night.

Overnighting in a Parking Lot
Coordinates: 45.3371815, -118.0584431

Awake to an early start this morning, dress in my spring blues, start the jammer and drive to the entrance of the d-mart to throw my garbage in the trash receptacle. Then I drive back to the w-mart, park the jammer outside the front door, carry my computer bag inside, set up at a table with a wall plug and begin pounding keys.
It is so nice, after five days of not having phone service and all the benefits that come with having a full time internet connection, to once again be back online.
I remain here all day, working on updating the Oregon State Parks pages by adding the Out of State Fee rating code EF: -1 which is lowering all of the Oregon state parks by one rating point. I continue working here, not leaving until about six thirty, at which time, I drive to the d-mart and take my position once again for another night of rest.
I climb into the rear of the jammer, watch a few videos, read for a time, and then turn over and close my eyes. It is somewhat earlier tonight when this part of my daily routine begins and I notice that there are a few drops of rain tapping on the roof of the jammer and it lulls me to sleep.

Awake early after what amounted to a good night′s sleep, arise and dress in my spring blues, climb forward into the drivers seat, start the jammer and drive to the w-mart for coffee, com and computer.
Later, I pack out, drive to the d-mart, park in a good location, climb into the rear of the jammer and not long after that, I turn over and close my eyes.

Overnighting in a Parking Lot
Awake, drive out of the parking lot, turn left on SH 82, drive to the interstate highway and then turn westbound onto IH 84. I continue westbound past
Emigrant Springs state park, over Blue Mountain pass, through Deadman Pass and then the interstate highway begins descending down from the mountains toward the basin below. I drive through Pendleton, Oregon, then continue downward into the lower basin, drive through Bucks Corner, Oregon and then turn north on IH 82 and drive north to Kennewick, Washington where I stop at the REI o-mart to check if they have the parts for my MSR stove. When I find out that they do not have any parts, I then purchase a temporary replacement stove, after which, I pack out and leave Kennewick, Washington and return back to Oregon on the same route I got here.
Once I am back on IH 84, I take the westbound entrance and continue along the Columbia River towards the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area. Once I arrive in the Gorge, I continue westward to Hood River, get off the interstate highway and then fill my fuel tank. The price of gasoline is much higher here than anywhere else I have been this year, upwards to the high price of almost five dollars per gallon. However, I am able to find one location for $3.99 per gallons. After I have put fuel in the tank, then I drive to the w-mart, grab my computer bag and go inside to wait for another day to pass.
When I pack out of the w-mart, I drive to the d-mart but they have posted several signs stating No Overnighting!, so, I leave the store and Hood River, Oregon to drive further west on IH 84 to Cascade Locks were after driving around in town for a few minutes, decide to park on the side of the main road through town right in front of a motel. There are two other large trucks already here, so I feel this is a secure location. True to my hope, I am not disturbed at all during the night.

Awake from the alarm this morning and sure glad I decided to come here to park for the night. (With this being a small town, I really like the ambiance.) I start the jammer and straightway find most all of the stores and cafes closed, so I pull in at a g-mart to look for a cup of coffee but there is a sign stating, Not Working on the coffee machine. Someone in the checkout line stay, We had a power outage last night and the coffee machine isn′t working.
I was hoping to have some coffee this morning, sip on it here while sitting near the
Bridge of the Gods, hang out until about noon, and then later, drive to the state park where I have made reservations for my next Oregon State Park stay, but that just does not seem to be happening.
So, instead, I stop in the parking lot under the bridge deck, park and then begin thinking what I will be doing for the next several hours and while I am here, notice that the
Rhododendron are in full bloom. It does not take me long to decide that I will drive the twenty miles east back to Hood River, stop in at the w-mart for coffee and then after having some coffee and uploading this journal entry, drive back west the eight or so miles to the state park to begin my next and final Oregon State Park camping experience during this northbound
journey on.
Arriving at the state park campground just before one pm, I see that there is now ranger to greet the arriving campers, so since I have registrations, I just drive to my campsite, pull in and begin setting up. Then the camp host arrives to clean the campsite and we talk for a short time during which I tell her about my book. She asks Where can I get a copy? and I reply, Only on my website; it′s a digital version and is free. Then she continues with her work and I return to setting up. Once I have connected the electric plug, I set up my computer and begin pounding keys to put words on web pages.
At seven this evening, I try to connect to the Oak Harbor Congregation for the midweek meeting and get in just as the prayer is beginning to be said. I listen in on the entire meeting and afterwards, talk with some of the sisters who also connected with the zoom app. Then, during the meeting, one of the neighboring campers, walks by to give my a plate of food. I always love it when someone does that because they always eat the ribs, steaks sweet beans and etcetera, food that I do not normally eat because they are unhealthy. I am not complaining, I eat it once in a while, but now never buy it for myself.

Awake, arise, dress in my spring blues, open my computer and begin pounding keys to start my journal entry for today. Next, I step outside and prepare my morning meal consisting of Daystart, Coffee and hot tea. Then, John, who gave me plate of home style barbecue last evening walk over and asks, Do you drink coffee? and when I reply, I am making some right now. He then offers to bring me a plate of bacon and eggs when the food is done, to which I reply by showing him my cup of Daystart and then tell him what it consists of. He then says, Wow, that looks like a healthy meal.
Then, I reply, What you are having is what I grew up with, and still love eating, but now only on a rare occasion. I tell John, Thanks just the same. We then walk together across the street to meet his female dog Remy.
After that, I then return to the jammer and begin to pour the boiling water into several cups, move the cups into the jammer office, climb in and resume my work on the computer.
This day proceeds as I continue my first full day here at Viento State Park. Even though this campground is nestled within the Oregon
Columbia River Gorge at the northern edge of the
Mount Hood National Forest.
Here in this gorge, there are several conduits that pass in either direction. The one that is the most noticeable is the railroad which consists of two rails on which trains pass east and west through the river corridor. Also, there are concrete pathways on either side, and IH 84 in Oregon, and SH 14 in Washington, both of which transverse the entire river route from the Portland metro area eastward for some distance past where the gorge ends. Thus, by camping here at this riverside state park, the resulting noise pollution is quite evident, most particularly the frequent passing rail traffic, bur also an occasions large truck. Still, the noise pollution is not overwhelming, but is only a hum in the background, especially at night, which neither awakens me nor keeps me from sleeping.

Awake to the second day of camping in the gorge, having slept nearly entirely through the night. I rise, walk to the restroom and back, then take out my stove and teapot to boil water for my morning nourishment. When the water boils, I use my cups to prepare my three-cup food and drink and then transfer the meal to the office in the jammer. Next, I climb into the jammer, open up my computer and begin pounding keys while I sip on the hot liquid.
I continue this work all day, however, during the midday of this second day, the temperature becomes quite warm and I endure through until the evening cooling. Late in the day, it begins to rain.

After working on my computer for about an hour, I then step outside, open the rear lift door to retrieve my cookpot and food. I then begin my preparations of my morning meal. I prepare my regular Daystart, hot coffee, hot tea and soon I am back inside the jammer with my food and hot drinks, sitting at my computer desk pounding keys.
Then for another day of camping within the gorge, I continue with my work on my web site all day long, until the sun begins to drop to the horizon and the day begins to wain. Finally, the blue skies fade to gray, and even the sky eventually changes to dark. I then get into the horizontal, turn to my side and close my glimpse.

Awake to sun shining briefly in through the trees, arise, dress in my springs blues, turn on my computer and begin immediately on my daily journal entry. Soon, the sun disappears behind dark clouds and the rain resumes. In the late morning, the wind begins to increase and the rain increases as well. At noon, Dustin comes into my campsite bearing food and I gladly accept his gift because, as I tell him, I will run out of groceries before my stay here ends. I thank him and then greet all three goodbye. The drive out of the campground and head to Madras, Oregon where they are from.
In the evening, I prepare a chopped vegetable salad, add some of my spice mix, olive oil and balsamic vinegar, while outside, the rain and wind continues. Then, I enjoy my evening meal while I continue to pound on the computer keys to add more of my story to my web pages. Later, I turn off the electronics and get into the horizontal for the night.

Awake to my alarm and try to go back to sleep but fail because it seems that I no longer have any sleep debt, so, I arise, turn on my computer and begin writing today′s journal entry. Outside the overcast skys persist but the rain has abated and the wind is absent. One thing is different from the last several days, and that is the campground no weekend warriors, only what would appear to be wayfarers have remained. I
I eat the leftover salad that I have from yesterday, then some pecans while I continue sipping on my cup of hot tea. Then, at about three this afternoon, a certified weekend warrior drives into the park a takes one of the campsites. Then, they step out of their motor home, set up a canopy over the picnic table, light a fire in the fire pit and then go back inside there vehicle. The fire continues to burn and smoke but the weekend warriors stay in the motor home for the rest of the night.
The rain finally ends late this afternoon and the weather report indicates that it will be sunny for at least the next three days. I am glad about that because the last two days of constant downpour through the forest makes it difficult for me to fire up the stove for my morning cup of hot. Then, at dark thirty, I put away the electronics, turn off my light and get into the horizontal.

Awake and arise just moments before the alarm sounds and appreciate vehemently seeing the sun filtering down through the mature forest. I dress in my spring blues, step out of the jammer, walk to the mens room for my morning splash of water and then return to the jammer. The first thing that I do when returning to the jammer is to open my computer and initiate today′s journal entry. Then, at eight this morning, I step outside, open the real lift door and take out my stove and teapot and commence boiling water for my
f-meal. While waiting for the water in the teapot to boil, I walk around and open the drivers door, reach under the dash and pull the front hood release. Then, I walk to the front of the jammer, lift and secure the hood, reach in and grab the oil level rod, pull it out, clean it with my oil rag, put it back into the rod tube to obtain the oil level. When I look at the rod, I see that the oil is right up to the top line of the area indication Full. Too, the oil is a clear light brown in color which indicates that it does not need to be changed yet. I also check the other fluids and need to add a splash of radiator coolant.
Then, when steam begins escaping out of the pour spout, I then pour appropriate portions of the hot water into my cup for coffee, my cup for tea and my cup for Daystart. Then, I transfer the three cups into the jammer office, after which I turn back around stow the kitchen back into its places. After the outside area is free of my possessions, I climb back into the jammer and enjoy my f-meal while I pound on my keyboard. It is about nine-twenty when I have finished eating my meal and then I turn off the electronics. I then step outside and unplug the electrical cord, stow it in its place and then climb into the drivers seat.
I start the jammer engine, drive out of the state park and onto IH 84 and drive west to Gresham, Oregon where I stop at a hf-mart to purchase some groceries. Next, I stop at a liquor store to buy a bottle of grain alcohol, a liquid that I have been using since COVID begain to clean my hands. After that, I stop at a d-mart to purchase the remaining groceries and other items that I need.
When I am done with all the stops, I return to IH 84, drive east the forty-something miles, back to Viento state park where I back in to my campsite, reconnect the electrical cord and then begin stocking all of my supplies into my storage bins. When I am done with that, I then light my small charcoal stove and bake two sweet potatoes and a some foil wrapped chopped vegetables. Finally, I climb inside the jammer to eat my e-meal just as the sun is setting and the day comes to an end.
Methinks, it has been a pretty remarkable day and I am really tired, so I will most likely get into the horizontal early this evening.

After another morning of key pounding with the temperature rising steadily, by one it has risen into the 80's and I lie down and take a nap. Then, after sleeping for several hours, I arise, and prepare for the meeting this evening. At seven, the meeting begins and when it ends, I stay on to visit with a few of the friends. Soon, we say goodnight and the meeting host pulls the plug.
Then, I get into the horizontal to watch a few videos and a short time later, I turn off the electronics and close my eyes.

Awake, dress in my summer blues, turn on my computer and begin my journal entry. As this, the first day of the weekend unfolds, a vast carnival of different types of wheeled shelters begin to arrive one by one until nearly all of the campsites are teaming with the dreaded weekend warriors and a few appear to even be turkeys.
I put up my window shades and remain inside the jammer all day so as not to have to interact with the local crowd.
As the day comes to a close, I get out my stove to cook my repast and now I know exactly why I have not previously purchased any propane canister fueled stoves. Cooking my supper used up one entire fuel canister, which by the way cost my seven dollars. Instead, I have always used a stove that uses white gasoline fuel, (also known as Coleman fuel) because I can still get a gallon of this fuel for fifteen dollars. Further, one gallon of white gasoline will last me not one, not two nor even three suppers but nearly an entire month of meals.
When the repast is finished cooking, I bring the cookpot inside the jammer and enjoy my e-meal while pounding keys on my computer. Finally, long after the sun sets, I turn off my electronics and go horizontal for the night.

Columbia River Gorge. The days here at this state park are moving fast forward toward the time when I will resume this annual northbound journey, which when that occurs, I will only have one week remaining until my summer sojourn will begin.
I spend the remainder of this day, sitting inside the jammer while outside, the temperature soars upward to the hottest day thus far this year, at 82°, even though it was forecasted to have risen into the low 90s.

Viento Day Ten of Twelve
Awake, arise, dress in my summer blues, step outside to walk to the shower house to take a hot shower and then return to the jammer to begin my f-meal preparation. After taking out my stove, I fill the tea pot with water and put it on the stove to boil. Next, I get out the instant coffee and tea bags that I put into my two insulated cups. Then, I take my sierra cup and fill it with the ingredients for my Daystart. When the water begins to boil, I pour appropriate amounts into each of the three cups and then place all of the cups inside the jammer office. Finally, I stow my tea pot and stove back into their places and next, climb into the jammer to enjoy my f-meal while I work on my computer.
While sitting at my office, I notice that one by one, the numerous weekend warriors are packing out all the voluminous amounts of gear, much of which is only of the
Want and not of the
Need. Then they depart from this state park, drive back to their city dwelling and most likely stow all of their camping "Want" items for another year until their next vacation.
I notice that there remains several RVs that have been here as long or long than I have been and when I see one couple outside working on their gear, I mosey over and say a greeting. I meet John and Kindle who tell me that they are from Virginia Beach and I explain how I once lived there during June 1978 during the time I was hiking the
Appalachian Trail. We talk for a time and I share a couple of Bible verses with them and they appear to to enjoy hearing about the Paradise, but one never knows about people these days.
I then return to the jammer, take a short nap and then rise, turn on my computer and finish my journal entry for today. Finally, I turn off my electronics and assume my position in the horizontal. Just two more overnights and then I head out to resume my northbound journey on.

Viento Day Eleven of Twelve
Awake, dress in my summer blues, step out of the jammer, open the rear lift door and gather my shower gear. Then I walk to the shower house for another hot shower. Upon returning to the jammer, I take out my stove and tea pot to boil water. Once the water is hot, I make my three cup f-meal. Then, I put all three cups inside the office and stow my kitchen.
Finaly, I settle into my office to eat my f-meal while I pound keys on my computer. I continue all morning here in the Mount Hood National Forest, mostly inside the jammer and working on my computer. In the afternoon, there are a few RVs that arrive and move into one of the campsites, but nothing like it was during this last weekend. Then, in the early afternoon, I step out of the jammer and begin loading my food bins with the food in my pantry, while taking stock of my current inventory of food and writing down the quantity on hand in my little spiral notebook; the one which I had previously written Shopping List on the cover. At the same time, I mark the item with the number of each I must needs purchase. What I have not done, which I would like to include on my shopping list it to indicate the best place g-mart in which to purchase each item.
Instead of cooking another meal, I just eat from my pantry, a cam on tuna, two of sardines, and several handfuls each of nuts and dried cherries. Next, I return to the computer and continue pounding keys until the sun begins to wane. At about nine this evening, I turn off my computer and get into the horizontal to read some and to watch a few videos. Finally, it is after eleven this evening when I turn off my phone and turn over and close my eyes for my last night in Oregon for this northbound journey on.

Viento Day Twelve
Today is my pack out day, having now been here for twelve nights. During this time here in the Columbia River Gorge, I have seen many come and go; mostly weekend warriors during the bustling, packed weekends, but have met several wayfarers during the tranquil, uncongested weekdays. However, the highlight of my stay were the regular visits of members of the Crow family, particularly the Steller′s jays and the western scrub jays, which frequented the oatmeal that I placed out for them.
After my regular morning trip to the shower house, I return to the jammer and begin my f-meal, which during my stay here has been the same three-cup nourishment. So as to provide some variety, I have been adding pomegranate powder to my Daystart and on other morning, added some of my
blues powder instead. Then, I sit at my office window enjoying my f-meal while initiating my journal entry for today as my time here in this mature forest dwindles down to journey on.
At eleven-thirty, I pack out and depart from the state park, drive thirty miles west on IH 84 to a d-mart in The Dalles, Oregon where I stop first on this day to acquire some on the items on my shopping list. Upon leaving the d-mart, I then continue west on IH 84 another twenty-three miles where I turn north onto US 97, cross the
Columbia River into Washington and then turn right off of US 97 onto Maryhill highway, drive past Maryhill State Park, and into Maryhill, Washington.
Next, after driving through Maryhill, I stop briefly at the
Stonehenge, where I get out and examine once more this replica monument. After this brief visit, I get back into the jammer, return to US 97 and continue northbound for quite some time, passing Goldendale, then crossing the Little Klickitat River and follow it upstream and into and through several forested areas and arrive on Status Pass at 3220 feet.
From their, I continue downward from the pass and northward on US 97 through the Yakama Indian Reservation towards Toppenish, Washington. Once I arrive in Toppenish, I turn left to continue on US 97 north instead of driving another four miles to IH 82. I continue in a northwest direction along the west side of the Yakima River and drive through Wapato, Washington and then just before I cross through Union Gap, US 97 merges with IH 82 and I drive along side the Yakima River through the gap in the mountain. After passing out the north side of the gap, I continue on IH 82 to exit 31 which put me on US 12 westbound and drive another three miles where I take the North 40th Avenue exit and in less than a half mile turn into the w-mart, park, grab my computer bag and walk inside. I plan on staying inside until the store closes at eight-thirty because the temperature today rose into the 80s. However, tonight, the temperature is dropping into the mid 40s.
I will stay here in Yakima for tonight because I am just too tired to any further, and I am not sure yet but I likely not will not stay here for another day but drive to Ellensburg, Washington or I may drive through
Yakima River Canyon and overnight in one of the campsites along the river.
At eight this evening, I pack out of the w-mart and drive to the g-mart next door to park for the night.

The bright sun shining in through the windows awakens me before six this morning, but I return to sleep for another hour waiting for my alarm to sound. Then, when it does, I dress in my spring blues, climb forward into the driver′s seat, start the jammer engine and drive next door to the w-mart. After parking the jammer, I walk inside with my computer bag and sit down to plug in my computer. In just a few minutes, I walk up to the counter and purchase a cup of hot, after which, I return to my computer and resume my key pounding.
When it is about nine-thirty this morning, I pack out, drive across the street to the d-mart to ascertain if this store has the remaining items on my shopping list. When I am done in this store, I drive south on 40th avenue to a branch of my back to make a withdrawal. Finally, I drive back north on 40th avenue to US 12 and take the eastbound entrance and drive the three miles back to IH 82 where I take the northbound entrance. From here, I drive north on IH 82 to exit 26 where I turn left, take an overpass over IH 82 and US 97. Then, I drive north on SH 821 and into the
Yakima River Canyon, stopping at the third Recreational Area, Lmuma Creek.
Except for several vehicles who drive through the recreational area this afternoon, I am the only one who is camping here tonight and is is amazingly quite the rest of the day. After the sun sets below the canyon rim, with plenty of daylight remaining in the sky, I step out of the jammer and gather my things to pack them away for the night and then take a trash bag to the dumpster. While walking the twenty yards distance, I began hearing what first sounded like a dog barking, but as I keep listening and this creature begins to sound more bird like, even like something large, maybe a large heron or possibly a sandhill crane. Curious, I never was able to seen the animal, but just heard the calls.
The daylight lingers for a couple more hours, as does my computer battery and I continue pounding keys while waiting for the even to arrive.

Awake, dress in my summer blues, and tnen walk to the vault toilet. Upon returning to the jammer, I climb into the driver′s seat, start the engine and pull forward a car length, stop, get out and check the site for any remaining trash. When I am done with that, I return to the driver′s seat and leave the campground, heading north on the canyon scenic byway.
Driving towards Ellensburg, which is only sixteen miles from the campsite, I continue using my phone′s camera to capture my journey. In less than half an hours, I have arrived at IH 90 and stop at an
x-mart next to the interstate but do not purchase anything, because it totally insults me how greedy this company has become. I then take the entrance ramp on to the interstate and drive west on the Ninety for a half hour, arriving at the Cle Elum exit, where I get off of the interstate and drive to the w-mart here in town.
After I park, I go inside, order a cup of coffee, a breakfast wrap and then sit down to eat my f-meal while I pound on the computer keyboard. Later, at about six this evening, I pack out, drive across the street and find a place to park for the night at this g-mart.
Then, at fifteen minutes before seven, I connect with the Oak Harbor Congregation midweek meeting and visit with the friends as they too begin to connect with the zoom app. Then, at seven, the meeting begins, during which, I learn that the midweek meeting next week will be on Tuesday evening due to the visit of the circuit overseer. Finding this out for the first time, I thus change my plans for which day I plan to arrive so as for me to be there for the meeting on Tuesday evening. Afterwards, I turn off my electronics and get into the horizontal for another night.

Awake to the sound of my alarm, dress in my spring blues, drive across the street to the w-mart, carry my computer bag inside, set up my computer, then walk up to the counter to use my stars for a cup of hot coffee, and finally sit down at my computer and begin pounding keys while I await the weekend meeting to begin.
Then, at nine-forty this morning, I connect to the Oak Harbor meeting using my zoom app and begin greeting the friends as they connect. At ten, the meeting begins and all too soon it is done. Afterwards, I pack out of the w-mart and return to the jammer, which I start and begin my final segment of my northbound journey to my summer hiatus.
Leaving Cle Elum, Washington, I choose to drive the interstate route, (IH 90 to IH 405) so that I can stop at one of the hf-marts that I know about but when all is said and done, methinks I will not travel that roadpath again, but instead drive a less crowded route. Then, by four this afternoon, I arrive on SH 20 and driving west. Soon after, I arrive at the
Deception Pass State Park, where I enter and drive into the campground for a hot shower. After that, I cross the
Deception Pass bridge and drive onto
Whidbey Island, stopping briefly at the home of Joann to let her know that I have arrived back on the island. Next, I drive into Oak Harbor, locate a place to park for the night and because I am very tired from today′s drive, after I park, I climb into the back of the jammer and get into the horizontal.
While waiting for sleep to arrive, methinks back over the past four months to the start of this year′s northbound journey to that
day I left south Texas and, incidentally also, that same day was the start of a new
Journey of a Thousand Days. As sleep was yet to arrive, suddenly, the entire route of this Journey On flashes through my mind within that moment before I slumber.
Yes, while on my repose, my thoughts travel back to the long drive north from south Texas to the visit with my brother Barry, then how next I began on the
Path to Totality and how that path brought me to another visit with Barry and his family. After the eclipse viewing in central Texas, my thoughts recall how my journey took me to northwest Texas for several days of camping in the
Limited Free Campgrounds
(LFC) and of my disappointment of those sites because of their lack of having rest rooms. Nevertheless, my thoughts remind me of my staying at the Limited Free Campsite in the town of my childhood home of
Borger, Texas on Day
75 TS.
Then, after leaving north Texas, my thoughts recall how this journey took me through New Mexico to Loveland, Colorado for the visit with my longtime friend, Louis. After that short visit, I recall how my journey continued into and through Wyoming to Oregon and how I continue in there to use use the free camping that they provide me as a veteran. Next, upon leaving Oregon, my thoughts recall that my journey continued through the Yakima River Canyon, overnighting there once before a brief stop in Cle Elum. After that stop, my thoughts recall how I drive here to Oak Harbor and now find myself with my eyes closed in the sleeping birth of the jammer. Yes, it was a long four month journey northbound.
I begin to hear the drops of rain on the outside of the jammer and soon after that, I am asleep.

Upon my awaking, I start the jammer and drive to the w-mart, park, grab my computer bag and walk inside for a cup of hot coffee and key pounding. The day remains overcast with high humidity and very light rain. When connected to the Oak Harbor Congregation meeting yesterday, I learned that the circuit overseer was visiting this week and that the midweek meeting would be temporary changed to Tuesday evening. Therefore, I also changed my arrival date from Thursday so as to have access to this week of the overseers visit.
During the morning, I receive a call from Joann asking me to come to here home to help her move the 12 foot boards she has purchased onto the sawhorses so that she can paint them. I tell here that I can come in the late afternoon and I then return to my work on my computer, which work is the finishing of my web pages of the Construction Oak Harbor

Staying inside most of the morning, I am greeted by a group of the witnesses who stop here for a coffee break. Then, in the late morning, I pack out, drive to the shopping center on the north side of SH 20, park in front of the hc-mart and go inside for a beard trim. After this has been done, I then drive back to the w-mart to spend the afternoon inside the jammer taking a nap.
Upon awaking from my nap, I step out of the jammer and begin dressing for the mid-week meeting and also don my tie. Then, when I have done getting ready, I drive to the Oak Harbor Kingdom Hall and park in the parking lot to await for the hall to be unlocked. Once I see someone walk through the entrance doors, I gather my Bible, phone and walk into the hall, where I am immediately greeted by several of the friends.
Tonight, like most every other mid-week meeting is conducted with the normal parts at first but then instead of the last part, the Bible book study, the circuit overseer steps to the podium and presents a talk which encourages all in attendance to Keep up our Regular Spiritual, Endure Faithfully and Wait Patiently. I must needs say, I enjoyed his talk very much. and I look forward to his public talk this Sunday, which will be entitled, Stand Firm against the Devil.
After the meeting, I talk with the overseer and tell him how much I enjoyed his talk. Then, I greeted more of the friends, after which, I leave the hall, get into my van and drive back to the local g-mart to park for the night.

This does not much of a visit because it is just an annual checkup and only amounts to a lot of talk between me and the doctor, whose name is Stephanie Ho.
After the visit with the doctor, I leave Mount Vernon, drive back across the bridge and stop briefly at Joann′s home to help here move the boards that she is painting. Finally, I drive back to Oak Harbor, find a shady spot to park and take a nap.

After a long seven hours of removing old trim boards, painting and re-installing them I realize why I have told Joann that I do not want to do this kind of work any more. Then by five this afternoon, I am totally worn out and finish up moving some boards from her truck to the deck. Finally, I pack out, stow my tools and drive north to the state park for a hot shower.

After that we go though the Watchtower study, Strengthen Your Appreciation for Jehovah′s Organization and I even enjoy it as well.
When the meeting ends, I leave immediately due to the excess of pain I am in and then drive to the d-mart, park, and climb into the rear of the jammer. After trying sit for a while, I must need get into the horizontal due to the shooting pain in both of my legs which cause cramping in both feet. I am sleeping before one this afternoon and I am awaken by my phone chirping that I have a message from Joann. I answer her and tell her, I am still recouping from the seven hours of work on Friday and really, I don′t want to do that again. The wording of my reply, I believe made her think that I was complaining about the seven hours, because she replies I didn′t tell you that you had to work 7 hours. However, I was not complaining because I had to work seven hours, instead, I was trying to let her know that I do not want to do ANY WORK again.
Still, it has always been hard for me to turn down requests for help from my friends, but now, ever since the pain from the work has become so extreme, I must needs tell my friend Joann that I will not be coming to help her any more and then at nine thirty this evening, I sent here that text. I tell her that I will be their and begin wrapping up what I am working on.
Then, at one this afternoon, I pack out, drive north on SH 20 and soon after, pull into Noisy Circle. I park along the street behind Patrick′s truck and wait for him to return from a material run to the hw-mart. Then, upon his arrival, I join him in installing the boards onto the two corners along the east side of the trailer. I also finish preparing the two window trim board and we install them on the east side window. This work does not take more than two hours and after all the boards are screwed into place, I help Patrick pack out, after which I walk to the jammer and return back to town, park in the shade near the w-mart and climb into the rear of the jammer to take a nap.

I reply that I am having coffee and will be their by ten this morning. She then calls me and I tell her that her that if she buys another 1 inch X 4 inch X 26 foot board, she should have it cut 108 inches long, or 9 feet. I pack out of the w-mart by nine-thirty, drive north on SH 20 and arrive at her home just after ten this morning.
Today, I work on cutting the 1 X 4 inch window trim boards for the four windows on the back side (south side) of Joann′s trailer, which I complete in four hours. While I am packing out, I tell Joann again, that I do not want to do any more of this work because it causes too much pain in my body, which takes several days for me to recuperate from. I end up repeating this to her during which I tell her that today is my last day of helping her and that I will not be returning to work on her trailer again.
I pack out my tools to my van and leave her home just after two in the afternoon, driving back into Oak Harbor and park at the d-mart. Then, I climb into the back of the jammer, get into the horizontal, cover myself with my blanket and close my eyes for a long nap. At six this evening, I go into the g-mart to use the mens room, buy some coconut milk and crackers and then get back into the jammer. As I climb into the rear of the jammer, I hear the rain as it hits the top of my van. Then, I open my computer and writ the remaining part of today′s journal entry.
Finally, I turn off the electronics and get back into the horizontal for the night. It is not until nine-fifteen when the sun sets, however, there is no indication when this happens because outside, the sky is totally besieged with rain clouds overwhelm any hint of a display of the sunset.

Awake, arise, dress in my fall blues, drive to the w-mart, park, walk in and sit down at my regular table. However, the cushions from the bench side of the table has been gone for several days and the reason, I heard from a barista, is they are being re-upholstered. So, I have been sitting on the wooden seat since they were taken away.
At eight this morning, I pack out, drive to the post office and ship a package containing a book that I have just sold online. After that, I drive to the g-mart to shop for groceries using one of the two fifty dollar Veterans Services vouchers I have received and I am able to find enough food items to amass the voucher total amount. However, when I drive to the second g-mart, I can not find enough items for more that twenty dollars. So, instead of using the voucher, I will return to the office of Veterans Services and have them reassign the voucher for me to purchase more items at the first g-mart.
Then, I return to my regular overnight parking location, put up my window shades and climb into the rear of the jammer for a nap. Not long after arriving, I receive a phone call from JP, a brother in the local congregation and a good friend of mine, who wants to know where I currently am located. I tell him and he says he will be right here. When he arrives, he tells me that he and his family are going to eastern Washington for their summer vacation as offers me a one week long house sitting job (HSJ), from Thursday, 04 July through 11 July. I tell him that I would be glad to take this position of monitoring his home while he and his family are gone. Also, he says, You are invited for supper tonight at 5 pm. We are having home made pizza and you are welcome to come over any time. I tell him, See you then.
Then, he leaves and I climb back into the rear of the jammer and continue in the horizontal to rest up for a while longer. At four this afternoon, I drive to JP and Sherry′s home, park the jammer, walk to the front door to ring the doorbell and then JP opens the door to let me in. Soon after, Sherry arrives from work and we all proceed to enjoy an evening of food, relaxation and fellowship. Later, I pack out, drive back to the g-mart, park, put up my window shades and climb into the rear of the jammer for the evening.

Sleeping in the Jammer
Overnighting in a Parking Lot
Awake, dress in my fall blues, drive to the w-mart for coffee, com and computer. Then, at eleven this morning, I pack out and drive to north to the state park for a hot shower. Upon arriving at the turn for the state park, there is a police car blocking the roadway and an officer waving cars from entering that road. I continue north on SH 20 and drive the rest of the way to my appointment at the VA clinic in Mount Vernon, arriving more than two hours early. I find a parking space and put up my window shades.
Then, at one in the afternoon, I walk inside and get a ticket to have a sample of my blood drawn. The woman tells me to sit on the chair and she proceeds to stick a needle in my left arm to retrieve blood into three tubes. As she is working, we talk about the value of grape seed extract and how it removes the plaque from the artery walls, keeping a person from ever having a heart attach because the grape seed extract prevents that from occuring. She then asks me how is my cholesterol level and I tell her that the cholesterol level has nothing to do with wether I will have a heart attack or not, because it is a scam perpetrated by the pharmaceutical industry. I write down my web address for the cholesterol page and ask her to read the page and she says that she will do so.
Then, at three this afternoon, I check to the optometry department for my retinal scan appointment. The technician takes eight photos of my eyes and after taking each one comments that they were good photos. I then leave the VA clinic, drive back across the bridge onto Whidbey Island and then continue driving until I arrive at the d-mart where I spend the rest of the afternoon in the horizontal resting.
At ten this evening, I get up, sit at my desk and complete today′s journal entry, after which, I upload my updated journal to the website and then turn off my electronics. Finally, I get back into the horizontal and this time, I close my eyes.

Awake, drive to the w-mart for coffee, com and computer. At nine this morning, Sherry and her nephew Drake walk in to talk with me. She said that she had sent me a text and did not get a response from me. She then asked if I could come by at about noon to go over some more of the house sitting chores with her and Sherri Nowel, another sister in the Oak Harbor congregation who will be doing the evening chores while I do the morning ones. I arrive shortly after one this afternoon and Sherri arrives at about one-thirty. Sherry then shows us her cat feeding procedure and where the extra food supplies are.
Later, when I leave JP and Sherry′s home, I drive back to the w-mart for some air-conditioning and stay until the late afternoon. Then, I drive to the d-mart, park the jammer and climb into the rear of the jammer for some reading and video watching. After the sun sets, the light of day hangs in the western sky until long after ten this evening, then it turns to gray, and finally darkens to twilight. By the time the night arrives, I am in the horizontal with my blanker over my feet and I close my eyes for another night of rest here in the northwest
Pacific Coast region.

Awake, dress in my fall blues, start the jammer and drive to the w-mart to sit and wait for the time that I need to arrive at my house sitting job. Then at about seven-fifty, I pack out and drive to the home of JP and Sherry, finding them still at work packing and loading their things into the vehicles.
I take up a seat at the kitchen table and join in with the conversations. Soon, JP, Sherry and Drake climb into their vehicles, point the headlights eastward and begin the drive to their annual week of camping near the Washington Cowboy town of Winthrop.
Day One House Sitting
When they have left, I start my preparations by first, plugging the jammer into an electrical outlet. After checking inside the jammer that the light works, I then open the rear of the jammer and fill my sierra cup with the ingredients of my Daystart. Next, I walk out to the raspberry garden and fill a container with the berries. I then walk back inside the home, boil a kettle of water, and pour the hot water into my cup of coffee, cup of tea and cup of Daystart. Into the cup of Daystart, I add half of the berries, and sit down at the kitchen table to enjoy my f-meal while beginning my journal entry for today. Sherri Nowel calls and tells me that she will be coming this afternoon to do some of her chores.
Finally, after my f-meal, I clean up the kitchen and then walk outside, glass of iced tea in hand, lift up the lid to the hot tub and climb into the 104° water for a soak. What a great way to start the day! After about forty-five minutes, I turn off the tub water pump, climb out and with the pool cleaning brush, do my first sweep or the swimming pool. JP had told me that he had just treated the pool and that the green on the bottom of the pool is dead. So, if I just sweep the pool, the filter will remove the dead algae.
I then return back into the kitchen, turn on my computer and continue pounding keys. Then Sherri arrives and she goes about her work. When she finishes, she sits down at the kitchen table and we talk for a spell. Later, she packs out, gets into here car, back out and drives down the street. I resume my key pounding and keep at it until just before the even of the day, at which time, I pack out, walk to the jammer and climb into the rear for the night.

Day Two House Sitting
Awake, dress in my summer blues, carry my computer bag inside and set it up on the kitchen table. Then, I walk into the kitchen to prepare the f-meal for the house cat, whose name is Luna. I follow the instruction that Sherry gave me and then set the dish on the cat table. Next, I boil a kettle of water and pour the hot water into my three cup meal. Then when the f-meal has been prepared, I sit down at my computer and resume the key pounding while I enjoy my f-meal.
However, I do not drink the coffee nor the tea hot as is normally my custom, but instead, pour first the hot coffee into a large glass of ice and drink iced coffee. When the coffee cup is empty, I then reload the large glass with more ice and drink my tea iced as well. All along, I continue pounding keys while working on my web page.
Later, I grab a towel and walk outside to get into the hot tub but only stay for about half an hour because the sky is clear and the sun burns down onto the entire deck. Methinks, if I stay any longer, my pasty white sky will turn beet red and I do not need that to happen. I notice several birds at the feeders, including:
house finch,
purple finch, and several
goldfinch all of which are enjoying the abundant bird food provided by the housemistress, Sherry. Watching these songbirds flit about to the several feeders is a joy of heart for me, as I truly love the amazing creatures that Jehovah God placed here upon the earth in abundance.
As I sit here at the table, drinking my iced tea and enjoying these birds, I continue my work for hour after hour.

Awake, dress in my summer blues, unlock the front door, set up my computer on the kitchen table and then begin preparing food for the cat. After follow precisely the directions, I set the bowl on the cat table and then open the rear sliding door curtains and notice that the sun has not begun shining on the hot tube, so I decide that this will be a good time to to get in. I walk to the bathroom and take a shower to get the oils off of my body so that they do not transfer into the hot tub water.
After my soak in the hot tub, I return inside and notice that the cat has begun eating from her dish but that she has run off to hide from me and there is still much of her food left. I return to my computer and resume my key pounding. At ten this morning, I watch a video about what happens when you eat steak for seven days
Shortly after ten, I pack out, drive to the g-mart and used my second VS food voucher to purchase three packs of beef steaks, then return back to the HSJ and begin my keto diet by eating one of the steaks. I put two of packages in the freezer and put the remaining two steaks in a container to marinade in olive oil, balsamic vinegar and some spices.
Then, just before noon, I get a text from Louis from Colorado who says that he just sold his motorcycle and is now looking for a truck so that he can spend more time up in the mountains camping. We text back and forth for nearly an hour and then I greet him "If I don't see you soon, see you in Paradise." Returning to my html editor, I resume my key pounding.
Some time after five this evening, Sherri arrives to go through her chores and when she is done we talk for a time. After she leaves, I continue pounding keys until when the sun sets, when I retire to the jammer for the night.

Awake, dress in my summer blues, walk from the jammer to the home, unlock the front door and enter. I then go about my daily routine, which includes first of all, feed the cat. When the dish of cat food is on the cat table, I then boil a liter of water and make a cup of coffee and a cup of tea.
Next, I get out one of my large beef steaks which has been soaking in the container of olive oil, balsamic vinegar and spices, cook it slowly on a low heat and then I return to my computer for more key pounding while I wait for it to be done. Finally, I enjoy my f-meal of this day. However, just like the video says, I am experiencing cravings for the carbs. So, I hope to do as the video recommends, push through it.
When the time comes for the meeting soon to begin, I connect with the Zoom app and greet those connected online. After the meeting, I get into the hot tub for twenty minutes, the return to the table for more key pounding. At twelve-thirty, the cat walks slowly through to the kitchen to eat, but then quickly runs back into the cat room. I continue pounding keys, but still have those cravings, so I grill another steak and then sit at the kitchen table to eat my m-meal while I pound keys.
After the sun sets, once again, I pack out to the jammer for the night.

Carrying my clothes bag and computer bag inside, I drop the computer bag at the kitchen table and carry my dirty clothes into the laundry room, load the washing machine and turn it on. I notice that the cat has eaten most of her food.
Next, I sit down at the kitchen table and begin to pound keys continuing here until dark fills the sky outside. Then, I walk out to the jammer, climb into the rear and get into the horizontal.

Free from Marital Restraints
For reasons unbeknownst to me, during the month of July 2024, on the eleventh day of the month I had a strong inclination that day to do a search on the internet concerning my wife. Well, actually, this is a long story and I will endeavor to keep it as short as I can.
Marilyn and I were married on 19 December 1987 and lived together until she chooses to divorce me on 16 August 1989. Since she did not have scriptural grounds for the divorce, this would mean that neither of us could remarry without sinning against both each other and God. (See
1 Corinthians 7:10,
11)
I left our home in Kentucky and drove back to Texas where I remained for several weeks, but not wanting to endure the heat that is Texas in the summer, I got into the jammer and drove northwest all the way to Washington where I took up residence in the town of Oak Harbor. I wanted to do what I could to serve Jehovah the best that I could, and determined that because getting married again would be totally off of the table for me, I applied for the full time ministry service and was appointed to begin on 01 October 1989.
Remaining in Oak Harbor with the congregation of Jehovah′s Witnesses there, I lived my life, remaining single and developed the desire not to search for a wife, even though at first, it was hard for me. I continued in Washington, except for the times when I would return to Texas to visit family and friends. Later, as I approached retirement age, I wrapped up my local business but kept my online business to provide me with an income until receiving Social Security. This event occurred in September 2009, during which time I had sold my home, all of my belongings, began living in my small van and began to migrate back and forth between summers in Washington and winters in Texas.
That annual migration continued for the next fifteen years whereupon, when I returned to Oak Harbor in the late spring of 2024, the local Veterans Services here on Island County offered me a room with a bath to live in, where I would only have to pay about thirty percent of the rental charges, so I accepted a one year least and moved into the room during the end of June 2024. I had only been living in the room for less than a month when on 11 July 2025, the inclination to search the internet concerning my wife, Marilyn Faye Buras came upon me.
The Internet Search
After I had typed in her name and pressed enter, almost immediately I got back an obituary notice of her death which occurred on the previous day. It remains unbeknownst to me as to why I had the inclination to do the web search, nonetheless, what this means is that after being married to her for the last thirty seven years (From 19 December 1987 to 10 July 2024), the death of a spouse breaks those scriptural marital bonds and the living party is now free to marry again.
As recorded in the Bible, when questions by the Pharisees about the allowance of divorce in the scriptures, Jesus at Matthew 19:4 answered and said that when married, the man and woman are bound for life. Later, the apostle Paul confirmed the principle with his words at 1 Corinthians 7:39 that a woman should not depart from her husband.
The Pharisees continue with their questioning, asking "Why then did Moses then direct giving a written certificate of divorce and to dismiss her?" Jesus answered them, telling them that due to the hardness of their hearts Moses allowed you to put away your wives, but then he continued with, "but from the beginning it was not so."
Jesus reproved them further in verse 9, stating that whoever divorces his wife, except on account of fornication and then marries another does so by committing adultery, and anyone marring her which was divorced also commits adultery. The statement by Jesus in verse nine makes the bible principle concerning marriage clear, that unless one of the spouses commits fornication, the marriage bond is held by God as still intact and remains intact until the death of one or the other.
Paul commented about this bible principle concerning marriage in 1 Corinthians, chapter 7, at verse 10, stating that a woman should not depart from here husband, and then in verse 11 he says, if however she does leave, she should not become married to another, but should resolve differences and be reunited with her husband. Furthermore, he says in verse 11 that a husband should not divorce his wife.
Seeing that Marilyn was the one who demanded our physical separation, instigated the legal action, presented me with a certificate of divorce, and subsequently never approached me for reconciliation; her actions, (because of our belief in God′s Word, see below verses) required both of us to remain single and prevented both of us from ever becoming married again. Thus, this is where Marilyn and I have remained for the last forty-seven years. However, that constraint would be removed if one of us were to die.
Enjoying Being Single
Now that I have had thirty-seven years of being single, I have come to enjoy being so. Being single allows me to go where I want, when I want and stay there for however long that I desire to do so. Furthermore, I do not wish to give up these freedoms and marry again. Instead, for more than three decades, I have traveled to and fro across this vast continent, visited nearly the states of three countries, visited more than 300 of their national parks, and visited many amazing locations which most people never in their entire lifetime ever experience. In fact, often, when watching travel videos on the social media, I find myself most often than not, stating the words: Been There, Done That!
There may come a day in the future when I would contemplate the subject of marriage again, but now is definitely not that time. Methinks, that time will only arrive after I have been in the paradise for a couple hundred years, there may be reason to consider it then, but for now and for well into the time after the
Great Day of God Jehovah, I do not plan to even begin looking for a spouse.
Therefore, ever since my wife died on the 10th of July, 2024, I have entered into a new path on my
Life Journey, however, I have been biding my time, just counting the days of my newfound marital freedom as the days continue to while away in this system of things.

Sleeping in the Jammer
Overnighting in a Driveway
I awake, walk inside, prepare the cat food and set in on the cat′s table. Next, I open my computer bag and set my computer on the kitchen table and plug the power cord into the wall receptacle. Then, from the refrigerator, I get out the remaining eggs in the carton, some cheese and the vegetables that I have left. Next, I chop the veggies, putting them in a bowl, after which I crack open the eggs into another bowl, sprinkle on some spices and wisk.
After I place the skillet on the front burner, I turn the gas onto the low setting and splash some oil into it. While the skillet heats, I mix all of the ingredients into one bowl, stir and then pour the ingredients into the skillet. While the omelet is cook slowly, I cover the top with mozzarella cheese and then put a cover on the skillet and let it simmer.
Turning to the right, I pick up the water kettle, add some filtered water and then put it back on the base to boil the water and while that is going on, I prepare two cups, one with instant coffee in it and a second one with two tea bags in it. Finally, I grab my large plastic glass and fill it with ice so that when the coffee is prepared, I can have iced coffee because the temperature has been too warm for me to drink my morning drinks hot. Soon, the water is boiling and I pour the hot liquid into the two prepared cups, placing them on the kitchen table next to my computer. I return to the stove to check the omelet and find that it is ready, so I cut out a portion and place the slice on a paper plate and place it next to the computer as well. Then, after turning off the stove burner, I walk to the table and resume my key pounding while I enjoy my f-meal.
In the early afternoon with me sitting at the kitchen table pounding away on my computer keyboard, the home owners walk in the front door and begin unpacking. I spent another ten or more minutes finishing up on what I am working on and then pack out, carrying my things out to the jammer. I then drive to the w-mart to work a little longer on that web page trying to complete what I have started.
In the early evening, I pack out, drive to the g-mart to assume my regular parking spot, climb into the rear of the jammer and get into the horizontal.

Recently, I did a search on the internet for the current information about my previous wife, the one which I am still currently scriptually married to, a search which I have been doing now and then for many years. This search, however, provided an obituary post announcing that "Marilyn had died yesterday on Monday, 10 July 2024 in Owensboro, Kentucky at the age of 72 years." This came to me as quite a shock as I had expected her to live much longer than this.
Thus, after thirty-six years, six months and twenty-two days of scriptural marital ties, her untimely death now breaks this bond and provides me with an entirely new Life Journey in my future without those scriptural bonds of marriage to Marilyn. Thus, I am once again, free to pursue my hearts desires.
(Mark 10:11;
1 Corinthians 7:39)
However, during all that time of not being free to marry, I have learned one thing very well, that I am really poor at being able to decide if any woman would be a good spiritual mate. Therefore, I have decided not to marry again, no, not even to search for a new spouse, but to wait until I have achieved the ability to understand a woman more perfectly.
This will mean that I not search for another spouse until long after the
Last Day of this system, even until long after the
Great Tribulation, in fact, not even until after that time when the
Righteous Inherit the restored Paradise. Only then, methinks, I will soon have that understanding of the real meaning of what it means to love and cherish a woman as a wife.
Furthermore, methinks, if it be the will of God, I will await until after the
Earthly part of the Resurrection of the dead and thus be there when Marilyn arrives, at which time, we will be able to talk about the New Life Journey we will then have, be it together or separate, and then proceed with which ever we decide upon.

I believe that this problem was caused by my eating more cheese that I would normally do and methinks this is a lesson learned that I should not soon forget.
I then leave their home, drive back to the g-mart, park in my regular place and climb into the rear of the jammer to rest from this ordeal that I have been enduring, and finally fall asleep.

Awake, dress in my fall blues, drive to the w-mart and resume my working on my web site. I continue here all morning and then get a text from Joann stating, How do you change the text size? I reply back immediately, What are you working on, an app or Windows? to which I get now replay whatsoever. I just wait to see if she will continue to ask for help. About an hour later, she sends a text asking, Where are you? which she normally does when she has decided to come to me with her device to get my help, which I believe she is asking about her computer. I respond, Same place, the w-mart next to the pizza cafe, and she responds, See you in a few minutes.
When she arrives, she opens her computer, and tells me that she typed for several hours and now she can not even find her document. After her computer is open, I ask, What did you use to type the document? and she points to the icon for Microsoft Word. I open the Word app and see that except for the Save and Print icons, ever other icon is shown in Gray indicating that all the rest of the features of the Word app do not work. I immediately realize what the problem is, and I say out loud, Here is your Problem! to which she asks, What? I then explain, You are using Microsoft Word that is not an activated copy which has all of its features turned off.
I continue to look through the list of applications in order to find another word processor and then open the Notepad Text Editor. Next, I locate Joann′ saved document, then try to open but it only opens in the Word app. However, since the Word app does not allow me to Select and Copy the text in that document, I then type the entire page into the Notepad app. When I am done typing the text, I save this document as a text document. Now that I have access to the text, I then Select and highlight the entire page of text, then I choose Edit and Copy which by doing so, puts the text into the computer memory. The next step is to find a suitable word processor that Joann can use instead of the Word app. I know several free word processors, but first, I will see if I can find one already installed on her computer.
So, I begin by selection the Window′s Start icon, choose All Aps and scroll down to locate the Window Tools, open it and look through the list until I locate the WordPad app. When I find this app, I select it and when it opens, I click into the new document and then select the Paste icon. Upon selecting this icon, all of what I had previously copied into the memory is now put as the contents of this WordPad document. Finally, I select the Save icon, which saves this WordPad document in the Rich Text format (document2.rtf). I also choose to put the document into the Documents folder the same one that contains the original Word document, which is also in Rich Text format (document1.rtf).
Also, in order to make the WordPad app more easily available the next time she would like to work on her document, I created an icon for WordPad on the desktop and tell her, When your are ready to type more of your document, just open the WordPad app using this icon. When she opens WordPad, I then say, Now, click on File, then Open, and when the Open Dialogue Box pops up, I show her how to select her Documents folder to find her document02.rtf file. In order for Joann to not have any confusion in the future, I go to Start menu, select Settings, then Apps, next Default Apps, after which, I scroll down to and select WordPad. Finally, I make the WordPad app the default app for all Rich Text format document. And then, I say, There, it is done, you should not have any problems now.
She thanks me and almost immediately afterwards, I get a notification for an email, so I check my phone and it shows that the email is from Emily at the Veterans Services office. I look at the email and find that she has found a sudio appartment for rent in town near the Post Office. I call the phone number thinking that her hours are finished for the day and I will just leave her a message to call me, but she picks up and says that the apartment just came available today, it still needs cleaning but she is sure that the owner will let me look at it. She asks me, Are you available tomorrow to look at it? I answer, I am available from right now on! So, she calls the owner and tells him that I will be coming by a little later today. I spent a half hour waiting until the time she said to go and then I packed out, drove to the location and contacted the owner, Ken. He showed me the apartment and it is exactly what I have been looking and praying for. I told him that I will tell veterans services that I want it and they will be in contact him very soon. I thanked him for taking the time to show it to me and then left the premises. Then, I drove back to the w-mart, sent a text message to Emily telling her that I want the apartment, who replies that she will start the paperwork first thing in the morning. Finally, I call my good friend Joe from Tennessee to tell him that I have located an a place to live, one that is a studio apartment with a bathroom. He replies, That will be about ten times bigger than you are use to, to which I laugh and reply, Yep, but just the right size for me. Next, I call my close friends here in Oak Harbor, Sherry and JP to tell them about the good news and they are happy for me as well.
I resume my journal writing to finish up the current goings on and then upload this web page to the internet. I should sleep very soundly tonight, filled with sweet dreams. The eight o′clock hour approaches and I must pack out of the w-mart.

Today starts like any other day that I have spent upon this island rock, that is my routine of coffee, com and computer. However, at four this afternoon, I pack out, drive north on SH 20, cross the
Deception Pass bridge and then turn left into the
Bowman Bay campground to visit the shower house. I have to wait for the person using the lone shower to finish, but that does not take too long. Then, I am in the hot water and get into the clean once more. Afterwards, I return to the jammer, drive out of the parking lot, out of the park and then back onto SH 20 to continue my drive north to the last round-a-bout where SH 20 continues east arriving at the interstate highway shortly after five this afternoon.
My route today next takes me to IH 5 were I take the state highway exit onto the interstate and drive southbound and from here, my destination, which is the Puyallup Assembly Hall is just over one hundred miles. This drive involves driving IH 5 south to the IH 405 exit, where I continue south until I arrive in Renton, Washington to exit onto SH 167 and driving south for fourteen miles to the SH 512, then south for another six miles. I then take the Canyon Road exit, drive south to 112th Street, turn east and drive just less than a mile to the Assembly Hall. The entire route from Oak Harbor to the assembly hall is about 130 miles and take me just over two and a half hours.
Once on Canyon Road, I stop a a g-mart to purchase some salad vegetable, then return to the jammer and move my van to an outlying parking location where I park, climb into the rear and have my e-meal. Then, I put up my window shades and get into the horizontal for the night.

Awake, start the jammer, orientate my self, then drive across the street to the w-mart for coffee, com and computer. I also get a large cup of ice that I can drink the coffee iced. Then, I update my journal entry for yesterday, after which, I pack out of the w-mart, open the rear of the jammer and put on my dress shirt, tie, clean trousers and dress shoes. Next, I drive to the Assembly Hall, arriving early enough so as to be able to drive right to the parking space that I prefer, one with the shade of some large evergreen trees.
After parking, I then step out of the jammer, walk around to the side sliding door, open it and gather my Bible, note pad and pens. I then hang out until just before eight this morning, when the doors opens, well for seniors only, and I walk to the front doors, walk in and put my books down on a seat. Then, I enjoy visiting with the friends, both those who I know and new ones that I become acquainted with.
The assembly begins right on time and I begin taking notes and enjoying the Bible talks. During midday, when the session stops for the lunch break, I walk out to the jammer to make my m-meal and sit outside to eat it. Shortly after, I close up the jammer, walk back to my seat and begin visiting with the friends. Soon, the afternoon session begins and I am back at taking notes.
Then when the assembly is over for the day, I drive to the local w-mart, go inside and begin working on my journal as well as the update for the
Puyallup Assembly Hall. Finally, I pack out of the cafe and drive to the g-mart to park for the night.

Awake, drive to the w-mart, park, walk inside and set up my computer and then step up to the counter to use my rewards for a large iced coffee. Soon after, I pack out, drive to the assembly hall, park and wait in the jammer for the doors to open at eight this morning. At five before eight this morning, I grab my Bible. writing table and pen, walk up to entrance door and wait with the few seniors their until the doors are unlocked. I then go in to put my books down on my seat choice and then walk back out to the lobby to look at the model Noah′s arc again.
In only a short time the morning session countdown starts, which finds me already in my seat. Then, I enjoy another day of talk, videos and experiences, stopping only for a meal at midday before continuing into the afternoon with more of the same.
When the last prayer is offered, I then leave, drive to the w-mart hoping for something to eat but the cafe is out of those things that I enjoy the most, so I pass on getting my meal here and place to get it else where. I finish updating my journal entry and some time after that, I drive to get my e-meal after which I drive to the g-mart for the night.

Sleeping in the Jammer
Overnighting in a Parking Lot
My alarm just went off, dress in my meeting clothes, start the jammer engine, drive to the w-mart for hot coffee, com and computer. It seems to be a little cooler today and I drink my first cup but then I ask for a large cup of ice for the second cup and take it to go. At six-fifty, I leave and drive to the Assembly Hall for the third and final day of this year′s
District Convention.
I sit in the parking lot until just before eight this morning, then walk up to the entrance and soon the doors are open for the morning session. I walk inside, put my books down on a seat and return to the front foyer to look for the two remaining characters in the model arc display.
Each year as I get older, going to the large gatherings of God′s People gets harder and harder for me to accomplish, still, the benefits always far outweighs the hardship incurred.
When this day of the Convention comes to its end, methinks, WOW, this has been so very motivating! I then leave the assembly hall, walk out to the jammer and then begin my long drive back to my home on the north end of Whidbey Island. Upon arriving in Deception Past State Park, I turn on my camera video recorder and make a travel video that I hope to upload to my social media.

Awake, dress in my fall blues, drive to the w-mart for coffee, com and computer. I continue here until shortly after one this afternoon when I get a call from the VSO, Emily who says that my apartment is ready and she can meet me at the location so that I can receive the key to the door. I pack out of the w-mart, drive to the Oak Harbor Inn and park right next to her vehicle.
Doug, the manager is also there, greets me and then hands me the key to the room door and also a key to the garbage receptacle. Then Emily and her friend tell me that they are going to leave so they can purchase some cleaning supplies for me. A short time later, they return with a garbage bin filled with supplies, knock on the front door and hand them to me. I thank them and then they leave. Going back inside, I turn on the air conditioner and wait for the room to cool off. Next, I go out to the jammer, grab my computer bag, bring it inside the room and set it up. Then, I begin updating my journal entry for today. However, it is not until sometime later when I am to find out that the lease for my room, that was signed for me is for the term starting today and continues until the the end of July next year. Therefore, I must needs update my
Days Until Journey On
daily count to reflect the additional ten days. Thus, today initiates a very long count of 375 days until my next journey on.
Then, in the mid afternoon, Joann send me a text to ask me if I could help her pre-drill and screw some boards together. I tell her that I will come to help, drive to her home, grab my drill, box of drill bits, two foot level, blue stool and walk up to her deck. I see that she has all the parts painted and ready to install as a picket fence, so I begin pre-drilling both the two vertical posts and two horizontal boards. When these are complete, we both walk around to the east end of the mobile home and she tells me that she wants the picket fence installed in front of the fire pit area so that when she burns debris in the fire, no one can look in from the road and see that there is a fire in her back yard. I set up my stool and begin installing first, the vertical post, then the horizontal boards, using my level to keep them aligned. Then, I begin the work of installing the vertical pickets, starting at the higher elevation side of the fence and screwing on the shortest pickets. After installing some twenty-five or so pickets, I then begin to pack out my gear to my van. Finally, I tell Joann good bye, start the jammer engine, back out of the driveway and then drive back south to Oak Harbor.
Upon arriving back in town, I drive directly to my room, park the jammer and then walk inside to take a hot shower and put on clean clothes. After that, I lie down on the bed thinking that I need a nap, but, I turn on the cable tv and watch an episodes of Law and Order. However, one episode turns into several episodes, after which I decide that the time I have just spent watching the tv is a total waist of my time and the primary reasons why I got rid of my last idiot box. I then open the front door, walk outside and see that the day is encroaching upon its sunset, so I sit down on the outside bench and begin to think about where I am in my life journey.
Methinks that what has happened today, this event of acquiring a place for me to live within four walls, albeit it for only a one-year lease, is in fact a
life changing event (LCE) for me, one that involves me not having to continue my annual migration. Too, methinks, that for me to fully grasp the significance of what has just happened in my life, remains something that will take me some time yet to come in order to comprehend to the full. In fact, I still have not moved any of my things into the room but they all still remain in their places within the jammer.
Finally, I lock the door to the room, walk out to the jammer, enter through the drivers door, sit down and put up the window shades, after which I climb into the rear of the jammer to get into the horizontal. It does not take me long to fall fast asleep.

Awake, dress in my fall blues, step out of the jammer and walk to the room, unlock the door and walk inside to the restroom. Next, I grab the broom that was part of the cleaning supplies that was given to me by the VSO and sweep the entire floor in the room. When I first arrived in this room, it appeared to me that it had not been cleaned but upon my sweeping it, I am now totally positive that this room has not had any cleaning whatsoever for a long time. In fact, when I was finished sweeping, the dust pan was filled and had a dozen or more ghost-turds, lots of dirt and debris, paper receipts and other miscellaneous items. Too, the floor at several places which seems to have never been mopped before but had been collecting dirt for years, particularly under the bed and under the refrigerator.
So, the task of just sweeping and moping the floor ends up taking me nearly three hours and even so, I will have to repeat the entire process at least once or twice again time to acquire a level of clean that I am accustomed to and require the floor to be at the place where I live.
After putting my cleaning tools in their place, which for now, is behind the front door, I then step outside, lock the front door, get into the jammer and drive to the w-mart for coffee, com and computer and I do this primarily because I have yet to be given the password for the WiFi here at the Oak Harbor Inn. When I arrive at the cafe, I set up my computer, then purchase a cup of coffee and a breakfast wrap, sit down to enjoy my meal and to pound on my computer keys. A little later, I get an email from the VS office requesting that I be in their office tomorrow at ten in the morning, to which I respond, Sure, see ya then.
I pound away on the computer until well into the late afternoon, not stopping until about seven pm. At this time, I pack out of the cafe, drive to the g-mart and purchase some fresh stir fry vegetables and a container of guacamole and some chips. Then, I take the foods back to my room and begin cooking my supper.
Afterwards, I wash the dishes and air fryer, setting them on the counter to dry and then walk out to the jammer. I climb into the drivers seat, put up my window shades after which, I climb into the rear of the jammer to watch a few videos. Finally, I turn off my electronics and close my eyes. Before I fall asleep, I begin wondering about my eventual move into this new place where I will be living, but say to my self, No, I am just not ready yet.

Awake, dress in my fall blues, step out of the jammer, walk inside for a short time, after which, I drive to the w-mart for coffee, com and computer. At nine this morning, I receive my first alarm reminder of my ten o′clock appointment with the Veteran Services. At nine-forty, I pack out of the w-mart and drive to the VS office to meet with the VASH officer, Danny. We go into an available room and begin filling out the paperwork for the housing already provided. It takes just over three hours to fill in and sign all of the paperwork, then we both go our separate way.
I return to the w-mart and continue with my key pounding. Then, I decide to call a VSO, one in a different office, to see if I can acquire some more of the food and fuel vouchers. The VSO, Tyler, tells me that he will be in his office this afternoon and asks, When can you come by?, to which I reply, I can be there is fifteen minutes. I then pack out of the w-mart to the jammer and drive across town the the VS office next to the tennis courts, park and walk inside. Tyler is outside of his room, sees me and then walks toward me with his right hand extended. I reach out with my hand, grip his and we make the customary up and down motion which indicates a greeting between humans.
After we accomplish the pending business, after which, I ask him, Where are you from? to which he replies, Richmond, Virginia, and then begins telling me a little about his ancestors. After a short time, when he seems to have finished, I tell him a little of my
ancestral history story.

Later, upon returning to my room, I strip the old bedding from the bed, fold all of it and put it into the open cabinet under the tv. Next, I use a disinfecting cleaner to spay the entire mattress top and sides. I plan to let this dry overnight and then tomorrow put on the new bedding.
Next, I proceed to cook my e-meal and then sit down in front of the tv to watch the movie Men In Black. When the movie is over, I wash my dishes and clean up the kitchen, after which, I sweep the floor again. Finally, I walk out to the jammer, put up the window shades and climb into the back to get into the horizontal for the night.

I then leave the fan on inside the bathroom, close the door and depart from the room. Once back inside the jammer, I drive to the w-mart for coffee, com and computer.
Then, at nearly ten this morning, I begin looking through my spiral note pads, which I currently have three, for the number of the young girl, Nelanna, who I met here in the w-mart, so that I might call her and possibly set up a meeting so that we might begin a Bible discussion. Then after searching on and off for two hours, I find her number and dial it. She answers and says, Wow, I just finished composing and sent you a text only seconds ago. Then, you call. Immediately, methinks, Not just a coincidence! She tells me that she is going to the Spin Cafe, after which I tell her I am in Starbucks. After a short conversation, I tell her that I will drive there because I have a brochure that I want to give to her and tell her that I will be there in about ten minutes.
Upon arriving, I walk inside the cafe but there is a strange reception by the baristas, and I leave, walk back to my car and then call Nelanna who tells me that she will be right out. Then I see her walking out from the outside of the building, we greet, we talk for a short time and I give her the Enjoy Life Forever brochure, telling her that this is what we can use to study the Bible. She looks at the brochure and says excitedly, This is from Jehovah′s Witnesses. I tell Nelanna about the public meeting tomorrow at ten in the morning, open the map app to show the location to her and ask if she would like to go. When Nelanna indicated that she does, I tell her that I will have one of the older couples pick her up. Then, she says that she has to leave and I greet her good-bye.
I then leave that location, drive to my room and begin calling some of the elders asking for Nelanna to be picked up for the meeting and finally receive a commitment from Mike Merkle. After that, I finish up the last necessary cleaning in my room and then put on the new sheets and comforter. After that, I begin my study for the meeting tomorrow but do not continue for long this evening. Then, I turn off the lights, lie down on the bed and close my eyes.
It is hard for me to get comfortable not sleeping in the same birth that I have been for so very long. Still, I want to remain here in this community, even through the upcoming winter. So, I turn over a few times and try to find a comfortable position.

Awake after a rough night, I get up and walk into the bathroom. Here, I get into the tub for a hot shower and really enjoy the steamy hot water. Then, I open my computer, to which I have finally obtained the WiFi password and get online. After pounding keys for a time, I realize that I am quite hungry, so I get out my stove, set it down on the ground outside of the room and begin boiling water. While I am waiting for that, I get out my three cups and prepare my f-meal, which is a cup of coffee, cup of tea and a cup of Daystart. When the water boils, I pour it into the three cups, and set the cups down on the table next to my computer. Accordingly, I put my stove back into its place and then return to my key pounding while I have my f-meal.
At quarter til ten this morning, I drive to the Kingdom Hall, park, and as I walk toward the entrance, I see Nelanna with another man standing outside and there are a few witnesses talking with them. I walk up to Nelanna, greet here and she introduces me to Rich, who she says came with her. Then, all three of us walk inside and set our books down on three seats. Shortly after, the meeting begins and the guest speaker, Doug from Bellingham gives a talk about what hope we have for the future. After that, the Watchtower study begins and when the study has only about a half hour until it is over and Nelanna leaves to go outside for some air. Apparently, her ongoing legal problems are causing her to have some serious anxieties.
After the meeting, Rich and I walk out and find her sitting on a curb. After approaching, I tell her that I hope she may survive this burden until another time. Nelanna and Rich then get in her dad′s truck and drive out of the parking lot. Then, I go back inside to visit for a while longer with some of the friends.
Finally, I get into the jammer and drive to the g-mart to purchase some groceries, after which I drive back to the room and have my e-meal. Next, I turn on my computer and begin pounding keys late into the evening. At ten, I turn off my electronics and climb into the bed.

After I climb into the drivers seat, I start the engine and drive to the w-mart for coffee, com and computer. Today I am continuing my work on updating files and photos from the old directory system that I used during my journal writing during 2010 and 2011.
These journal entries were made in
Quire Seven which had previously been chapters 34 through 38. Later, after much thought about how to correct the previous journal format, which had way too many chapters, and which number was growing ever larger with each new Quire.
It was then that I decided to change that previous format, reduce the number of chapters and make each of the previous five chapters that were in Quire Seven into just one chapter, which is now
Chapter Seven. Then the previous five chapters 34 through 38 would become Part One through Part Five of Chapter Seven.
This change did reduce the total number of chapters in my Online Journal, however, I put off going back and updating the file and photo locations, which operation I just kept putting off year after year. Now, since I have a place within four wall and will not have to spend most of my year migrating back and forth between Washington and Texas, I have decided to use some of this newfound time updating these many files, links and photos.
As of today, I have finished
Part Four of Chapter Seven and have already uploaded it. If you go to that page on my website, all of the photos will show the new locations in the caption below the photos and most of the captions will have a link to the page location of the subject with more available photos.
After a long day at pounding keys, I pack out of the w-mart, drive to the room, park, and walk inside for the night.

Kina Tiatano and Brandi Tiatano, both two daughters of the friends that I had when I first moved to Whidbey Island back in 1989. Now, they are back on the island for the memorial of their aunt Eloise Geiger, who recently passed away. We visit for a bit and then I get both of their phone numbers, after which I call each of them to give them my phone number.
They have met a school mate here in the cafe, who is an Athabascan native American and who was in the same school with my two friends growing up.
A short time after that, Kina and Brandi depart from the cafe and I turn my attention back to pounding keys and the job that I have undertaken during the last twenty or so years, that of viewing, researching and then chronicling the world as we see it during these last days. Awake, shower, dress in my fall blues, drive to the w-mart for coffee, com and computer. Once again, while I am pounding keys, I begin to contemplate what has befallen me during the recent weeks, this new life journey which now is approaching one entire month.
Then, in the late afternoon, I pack out, drive to the room and get ready for the midweek meeting by donning my meeting clothes, after which, I drive to the Kingdom Hall, park and walk inside and looking forward to the convention review.

Awake, walk into the bathroom, talk a hot shower, then dress in my fall blues and step outside. I then slide into the drivers seat, start the jammer engine, back out of my parking space and drive to the w-mart for coffee, com and computer.
Once I have a cup of hot in hand, my computer open to the html editor, I begin updating the menu area of all seventy-five pages that reside in the Predictable Nonpareil section of my Photo Gallery with the new menu line of
Celestial Events. This amounts to a monumental task which keeps me working throughout the day and right up until the cafe is about to close. After uploading my work to the website, I pack out of the cafe, drive back to my room and settle in for the evening. Methinks, now, I have another monumental task, that of research, collecting data and filling in all of the celestial events lists pages. I have completed the one for
2024 and begun on the list for
2025, but I desire to keep including these lists for many more years to come.

Methinks that ever since I have begun this new life journey, now an entire month into it, nothing remarkable has transpired. Too, methought that this new life would have myself embraced with more exuberance, vigour and expressions of liberation. Still, I have done nothing such as to involve any of those emotions, nor have I embarked upon any new adventures, not even to any nearby locations to explore. I continue in this new life journey disheartened knowing that even though I now have the freedom that comes with this journey, I do not have the desire to do anything with my new found emancipation.
Instead, although not acquiescing to negative thought, methinks I have come to realize that this world has nothing that interests me, but being here has become old, tiring and lacking of any peace. However, I do know that what I must needs be focused upon now is the foretold paradise, the one which will be new, invigorating and provide abundant peace. Yes, the one that has long been awaited for by the people of God. And even more important, I must needs be focused upon doing that which can ensure that I may arrive safe into God′s promised future earthly bliss. Yes, there is much for me to pray about.
I go about my day much like I have been doing for many.

Awake, walk into the bath room for a hot shower, dress in my meeting clothes and the walk out to the jammer. It is still very early this morning and drive to the w-mart for coffee, com and computer. I also begin my study for the meeting later this morning. Then, at eleven-thirty, I drive to the hall, park the jammer and then go inside to obtain a seat. After this, I begin to greet the friends and at one discussion, a brother asks me if I would like to be on the Theocratic Ministry School, to which I replied, Please let me pray about it. My thoughts are that I do not have a jacket that will fit me and will have to locate here in town.
After the meeting, I greeted more of the friends, many of which are still asking me about my housing situation. I continue to inform each one that asks that the Veteran Services are paying for most of the cost of a room which I have been living in now for three weeks.
When departing the hall, I drive to the w-mart and resume the work on my website. Knowing that the availability of clean clothes has waned considerably, I know that it is time again for me to do my laundry and will have to do a wash soon.
In the late afternoon, I become tired, so I leave and drive to the room to take a nap. Due to the fact that I can not get to sleep, I rise, get out my computer and complete the files that I have been working on and finally upload them to the website.

Awake just before my alarm, walk to the bathroom for a hot shower after which I turn on my computer and work on the latest update. At ten this morning, I walk outside, start the jammer and turn it around in the parking space. I do this because the side sliding door is facing south and that is where I want to be while I continue the cleaning up of the jammer and restocking my food stores today.
Once the side sliding door is on the north side, I open it, get out my camp stool, take out all of my
MRP containers. I currently have eight quart size containers where I mix the ingredients together. Today, I added a 16 ounce bag of Organic Spirulina powder, which amounting to me putting three heaping tablespoon full′s in each. Then, I have to shake and shake and shake until all of the ingredients were blended. The final color changed from a light brown to a green-brown. When I use some on my Daystart this afternoon, I find that the taste has changed drastically and acquired a taste like the sea, or like a mouthful of lake water. Actually, because there are only three tablespoons in each to the eight containers, that means that there is still about ninety percent of the original MRP mixture in the final product.
If, after using it for a month or so, I find it still tasting like lake water, then I will next add some berry powder to all of the eight containers. What I have in mind is to add a couple of 8 ounce packages of the berry powder listed on my
blues powder mix. Still, I expect that I will get accustom to this new flavor, so I will give it a month and see what happens.
Then, at about two this afternoon, I stow all of the containers in their place and walk inside to update today′s journal entry.

Finally, I pack out, drive to the burritos restaurant and sit inside to eat my m-meal. Then, I drive back to my room, carry my things inside and remove the meeting clothes.
I return to pounding keys for some time but eventually pack out to drive to a g-mart to purchase food stores after which I return to the room and pack the food into the refrigerator. Next, I turn of the cable and watch a couple episodes of Law and Order after which, I turn off the tv, pull up the covers and close my eyes.

When I arrive, I purchase a small coffee and a breakfast wrap costing almost ten dollars. Also, because I use my personal cup, my total stars for my f-meal is sixty-one stars which is more than half of what I need for a free coffee.
I continue here most all of the day and then at nearly seven this evening, I pack out and head for the room.

Awake, take a hot shower and then dress in my fall blues. Soon after, I walk out to the jammer, start the engine and drive first to a ff-mart for a senior coffee. Then, I drive north out of town on SH 20 all the way to IH 5 where I take the northbound ramp and proceed northward. In about half an hour, I arrive in Bellingham, Washington, drive to the hg-mart to purchase some food stores for my pantry. I ask about the sprouted rice but the grocery clerk tells me that they do not have any, but that I should stop go to the community co-op to see if they have sprouted rice.
So, I do drive there and find that they have five packages of the product and since this product has been so hard to locate, I purchase all five packages. I also drive to the d-mart to purchase five packages of flaked coconut. After that, I leave this city and begin my drive back to Whidbey Island, then drive to my room and begin unloading my groceries.
After, I put all of the food in their places, I then go inside to prepare my evening meal. Next, I turn on my computer and write today′s journal entry, after which, I turn off my computer and get into bed for the night.

Next, I leave town and drive south own SH 20 some ten miles so that I can go to the sheriff′s office to acquire a fingerprint check as requested by the Housing Authority of Island County. Once I had dropped off the at the Housing Authority, I return to SH 20 and drive north back to Oak Harbor.
Once in town, I return to the room, carry my newly purchased items into the room and stow them in their places. Next, I begin to work on my food containers, filling more of the empty containers and labeling them with the food′s expiration dates. Finally, I take out my backpack bear bag, take out all of the food packages that have become close to the expiration dates, and replace them with some of the recent packages with their expiration in 2015 and 2016. Then at about four this afternoon, I return the bear bag to the jammer, setting it next to my backpack. I plan on repacking my backpack on another day. Finally, at six this evening, I begin getting ready for the meeting tonight. I will not go in person, but will connect with my zoom app.

Upon returning home, I put the food items in the refrigerator and then begin cooking my e-meal consisting of rice and salmon. When the meal is prepared, I carry the food to my table to enjoy while I pound keys. Later, I walk to the restaurant next door to greet Robert who is hosting a talent show there and we talk briefly.

Today begins just like many of the days that are fast accumulating while I am living here in this room at the Oak Harbor Inn. Too, I have created a routine which I have been repeating most every day, a routine which includes cooking my own meals using healthy ingredients. My f-meal continues to by my Daystart with hot coffee and hot tea, however the remaining meals each day consist of some type of fish, either cod, salmon and/or a few other type, accompanied with sprouted brown rice cooked with a collection of fresh vegetables.
One of my previous routines, that of eating out in ff-marts and other restaurants is slowing disappearing, and I would say that I have needing to do this for a very long time.

This day begins with bright sunlight shining in from the outer fringe of the curtain enclosing the west facing windows in my room. I arise and begin my morning routine with a hot shower, the thirty-ninth consecutive day that I have initiated my daily routine with hot water upon my body. Too, I recognize and appreciate this to be one of the top three blessings that I am experiencing because I have this room to dwell within. It is those same three blessings that I am now partaking upon that I had previously forsaken more than eleven years ago, when after selling my
grass mowing job, embarked upon my return to the
Journey On.
What are those blessings? (in the order of most important first)
Number 1: A room with a flush toilet,
Number 2: A place to shower with hot water, and
Number 3: A refrigerator to keep fresh food.
No, not one of these three things are in fact necessary for life, none are of the
Need, for I have for those eleven long years proved to myself that a person will not die due to their absence, nor, not even suffer from lack of their possessionship. Those three material things, that I have, for most all of the past eleven years, been without, are only part of those possessions that belong to the
Want.
Later today, I use my computer to connect to the midweek meeting and join in with worship of the most high God. However, I am so glad that this association has been a large part of my life for all of those past eleven years. To me it is a
True Need.
