The Drive South
On Thursday, 18 July 2024, I drive north off of
Whidbey Island, cross the
Deception Pass Bridge and stop at the
Bowman Bay Campground so that I may use the shower house for a hot shower.
Afterwards, I continue on my drive to the Puyallup Assembly Hall for the 2024 District Convention. This route is a long one, traveling south on IH 5, connecting to IH 405 and this drive is a tough one for me to endure. Then, I begin to see Mount Rainier to the east and this provides a bit of relief from the tedious task. I set up my camera on the mount so as to be able to safely take some photos.
Then, I notice that the near full moon is hanging in the sky near the mountain and as I travel southward, in the matter of just a few minutes, the moon also moves southbound as the backdrop of the mountain, like it is also headed to the district convention in Puyallup.
District Convention: Day One
The next morning, when I am getting ready to drive to the convention site, I look and the Moon is nowhere to be seen. Methinks, it must have already arrived at the convention and was assigned in the parking attendants department.
District Convention: Day Two
Awake, drive to the w-mart, park, walk inside and set up my computer and then step up to the counter to use my rewards for a large iced coffee. Soon after, I pack out, drive to the assembly hall, park and wait in the jammer for the doors to open at eight this morning.

District Convention: Day Three
My alarm just went off, dress in my meeting clothes, start the jammer engine, drive to the w-mart for hot coffee, com and computer. It seems to be a little cooler today and I drink my first cup but then I ask for a large cup of ice for the second cup and take it to go. At six-fifty, I leave and drive to the Assembly Hall for the third and final day of this year′s
District Convention. WOW, it is so motivating!
