Journey On, Day 65
After driving through the states of Idaho and Montana of the Northern Tier Route, I arrive at Williston in the state of North Dakota. From here, I plan on crossing this state on the Northern Tier Route, but instead of driving SH 5, I choose to drive US 2, which is a roadpath that is lower in latitude than the state route, but is more direct with less corners and other slow downs. I suspect that even though I do drive across the entire state of North Dakota, I might not continue too much longer afterwards, as the weather and temperatures are increasingly becoming inclement.

The 2025 Winter Sojourn comes to an end and I begin the 2026 Northbound Journey On.

Wednesday, 22 April 2026 through Thursday, 30 July 2026
The Journey On takes me east to Vermont to visit my youngest brother. Then, after a short stay with my brother at his home, I then begin a transcontinental trip across the top of the United States on the
Northern Tier Route. Then after driving more than 4000 miles, I arrive in the state of Washington and begin my westbound travel on SH 20. Finally, I arrive in the Puget Sound area, drive onto Whidbey Island and stop at the same g-mart to overnight which I have been stopping at for over a decade.
At this time, the 2026 Journey on ends and the 2026 Summer Sojourn begins.
