Numerous in almost all of the continent.

Seen in backyards of America and also in scrub in the west.

Male has red forehead and eye stripe, bib, rump with brown streaks on sides and belly.

Female is similar to male but plainer and is mostly brown with a pale cheek and eyebrow patch.
