Boston Mountains
The Boston mountain are located in a large area of the north and northeast area of Arkansas covering most of the area above the Arkansas river valley with the Buffalo National River flowing through it′s northernmost area. The White Rock Wildlife Management Area and much of the Ozark National Forest are with the Boston mountains.
Cedarville, Winslow, Ponca, Marshall and Clinton are communities in the Boston mountains.
The Boston mountains also extend into eastern Oklahoma to the Brushy Mountain range and northeast to the Cookson Hills.
The Ozark highlands and mountain range in Arkansas are found in northern Arkansas and cover a large portion of the north part of Arkansas. The name of the mountains range in Arkansas are call the Boston Mountains, and the highest point of all of the Ozark Mountains is Buffalo Lookout at 2561 feet is found in the Boston Mountains of Arkansas. However, there are at least five separate places in the area that reach the elevation of over 2560 feet.
