San Jacinto Mountains
The San Jacinto Mountains (Avii Hanupach in Mojave, are named for one of the first Black Friars, Saint Hyacinth (San Jacinto in Spanish).
This mountain ranges is part of the Peninsular Ranges that are located in southern California in Riverside County. The San Jacinto mountains are located below IH 10 and lies in the desert area between Palm Springs and Hemet, California.
The San Jacinto mountains are about a hundred miles east of Los Angeles and the coast.
