Cape Arago Light
The Cape Arago light is located on a piece of land which juts out into the Oregon coast, land known as Cape Arago.
The first light was lit in 1866 with a fourth order Fresnel lens on a 25 foot tower, but due to erosion, a second light, which was a 100 foot tower was built and lit in 1909, and finally a third light in 1934 which would contain the second tower's fourth order Fresnel lens.
The third light, made from concrete to better withstand the inclement weather of the area is the current standing light, all other buildings have since been demolished.
