The Glossary Definition
Sunglow (sun´glow) n. astr. 1. A dim light or colored glow seen on the horizon before sunrise or after sunset. 2. The time of day known as the Golden Hour.
Sunglow, by an online dictionary definition it is: 1. A diffused, hazy light seen around the sun, caused by atmospheric dust. 2. A yellow or pinkish flush seen in the sky before sunrise or after sunset, caused by scattering or diffraction of solar light rays by particles of dust in the atmosphere 3. An albino gecko. 4. A color with hex value #FFCC33.
However, to a wayƒarer, the sunglow is a special time for pausing from the daily activities to look for the grand pulchritude in creation. It is also a time to peruse the inner person, a time for prayerful appreciation, a time for reflection upon all the solace bestowed from above, and most important, a time to spend in supplication to the most high God and thanking Him for one′s every daily need.
The Quest for Pulchritude
This time during which the sunglow may be seen is fleeting and short, often only a few moments in length, but when anticipated and waited upon, may provide ample opportunity for espying this pulchritude that a wayƒarer would often quest after.
A wayƒarer knows that to espy these wonders requires vigilance imbued with endurance and persistence because many are the dayspring and evenfall with only gray skies or rain which lack any of the displays of the desired pulchritudinous colors.
The Focus of this Gallery
Only a few moments of each day will there be opportunity to see the sunglow, however, not ever day provides these occasions. So, to be present at as many of these events as possible, making this time of the day the focus of my photography efforts should avail me with ample photos of this remarkable pulchritude.
