While still waiting for my retirement and with my vending business business not requiring me to be here but a few days each month, I decide to begin my first Journey On. Too, I have put my home up for sale and at first, I feel that there is need for me to stay close, at least within a days drive.
Yellowstone
Having gone to Yellowstone before in 1980, but not since, I decide it is now the time to return there. After packing my van, I head out on this first journey.
May 2009
The 2009 Journey begins when I take a short trip to Yellowstone in May, going first through Montana where there is still snow on the tops of the mountains..

In September, I head out on a much longer journey to visit several national parks, one of which is the Grand Canyon. Here, I arise each morning to watch the sun rise and wait for it to set in the evenings.

October 2009
In October, I start out in some of the national parks in Utah, then head to the four corners to check out some of the ancient stone stacker ruins.
