Unlike the start of most years, January finds me taking photographs of the sunglow from outside of my rented room. Yes, I did not leave Oak Harbor last fall as is my normal agenda has been for so very many years. Instead, the Veterans Services Office offered to provide me with a room to live in upon signing a one year lease. Thus, until the end of July 2025, I will be adding photographs primarily taken while in Washington, with only a few short trips into the Columbia Gorge area of Oregon.

Then, later this year, after the lease has ended, I will leave the confinement of a rented room and resume my regular Journey On™ into the vast outdoors across this continent. When that time arrives and my travel resume once again, I have totally decided to never again veer from this regular routine of migrating to the location wherein I am comfortable with the current whether circumstances.
