The journey up from Texas this year proved to be a very cold one, colder this year than all previous ten years of my snowbirding career. Too, previously, I have during my entire life time, made it a point not to go back. What I mean by that is unless I left something behind, I would not backtrack over the same path but instead would seek out a different route.

However, this spring found me veering from my previous wanderings as at least a handful of times, due to arriving at a location after which there arrived a cold northerner complete with snow and sub freezing temperatures. This happened in Taos, Alamosa, Grand Junction, Rock Springs and other places and I thought that I was following the spring northward. I am so glad that the jammer I am currently driving has a good heater.

With August being such a grand month for viewing sunglow, I wonder how the month of September will stack up. So while overnighting in the Rainshadow on the north shore of Washington I look to the horizon twice a day.

Such a remarkable sunglow month here in the Desert.

With the month of November two thirds of the way through, I begin uploading some amazing photos, especially since the clouds have increase throughout the month.

Although this month comes with many days of rain, the sunrise and sunset sunglow displays continue unabated.

As the days of my sojourn begin to wane near to my departure of this desert valley plain, the rainy days dry up and the desert sunglow become brilliant.
