Neches Bluff Campground
Location:
The campground is located on a bluff overlooking the Neches River. Access from Alto, Texas to the campground is along SH 21: From US 69 in Alto, Texas, turn southwest onto SH 21 (The Kings Highway) and drive southwest out of Alto for about 8 and a half miles until you arrive at FS road number 511. It will be on the east side of SH 21 and when you turn onto this Forest Service road there will be trees on both sides of the FS road. Too, unless it has been improved, this FS road is a dirt road. Drive in a southeast direction for 0.6 miles and there will be road to the left, this is FS road number 511-A.
Turn left onto FS 511-A and drive in a northeasterly direction for about one-third of a mile, where there is an unnumbered side road, also a dirt road. Turn north on this road and drive for about a quarter mile where there is a circle at the end. Also, there will be an observation deck, a vault toilet and places to camp.
