From Quanah, Texas, at the intersection of US 278 and SH 6, drive south 12.4 miles on SH 6 to the entrance of the state park and turn right into the park.

The campground is located on Devils Creek which just to the south merges into the Pease River, a location accessible by the River Run Trail that traverses along Pease River.

Comanche indigenous people camped in this area of Texas for possibly thousands of years.

The rugged terrain, quiet waters and dark night sky all provide a place to relax and refresh.

Camping, biking, boat ramp, boating, fishing, fish cleaning station, hiking, horseback riding, interpretive center and museum, meeting room, paddling, picnic, playground, ranger programs, stargazing, state park store, swimming. There are also longhorn cattle in the south pasture near the park entrance.

Too, the park has a group hall, group pavillion and a group campground.
