The Campsite
Pioneer Park Campground, Hot Sulphur Springs, Colorado
Location:
The campground is located on the Colorado River headwaters right off US 40 in Hot Sulphur Springs, Colorado.
At the west end of town, the last road north off of US 40 right is Park street. Turn towards the Colorado river and drive one block until you see a bridge across the river. Crossing this bridge will put you in Pioneer Park. This first turn to the left takes you to the main area of the campground.
If you turn to the right, this road will take you upstream to another location where there are four more campsites.

Fishing, hiking, mountain biking, picnicking, wildlife viewing, disc golf course. During winter months, hiking, cross country skiing and snow-shoeing.

The Camping
General Information:
Federal Parks Passes:
Include: Access, Annual, Gold Star, Military, Senior, Veterans and Volunteer.
Benefits: All Federal Parks Passes covers entrance fees at lands managed by: National Parks Services (NP) and US Fish & Wildlife Service (FWS). Also, a Federal Park pass will cover standard amenity fees (Day Use Fee) at lands managed by: the National Forest Service (NF), Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Bureau of Reclamation (BR) and US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE).
At most of the above listed federal park locations, Federal Parks Pass holders will receive half off camping fees.

Fees, Camping: $15.00 per night

Campground Includes:
There are campfires pits and picnic tables in most of the 14 numbered campsites which can be used for RV and/or tent camping. The campground has trash receptacles and port-a-potties.
There are no hookups, nor is there potable water in the campsite but there is water available in the Town Park and other locations in town.
