As with most previous years, I begin in the bottom of Texas, usually along the Rio Grande river and I often find myself camping at one of two locations near by, Falcon state park or Lake Corpus Christi state park, both of which have $10.00 per night for water only campsites.

However, most often, I find myself at Falcon because the shower water, in my opinion, is the best, which is a steamy hot (HS), where as, Lake CC only has a warm water shower (WS).

Thus, when I am heading south from north Texas, I will stop at Lake Corpus Christi for one night and then continue south to the bottom, which after arrive in the Valley, travel up the Rio Grande to Falcon state park to stay for several days. However, if I come in from west Texas, I usually bypass going to Lake Corpus Christi all together.

However, this year, I stop do stop at Lake Corpus Christi but because the campground has a No Vacancies sign, I only ask for a day pass so that I may take a much needed shower.
