Beachside State Park Campground
The campground is located along US 101, a few miles south of Waldport. This campground is right alongside miles of broad, sandy beach area on the Oregon Central coast line. The campsites are all just a short walk to the beach and ocean.
Activities include kite flying, whale watching, storm watching and sunsets.
The 16.7 acres of beach front land was purchased from various owners in 1944 to provide public access to a large ocean beach at Big Creek and preserve native shore pine and vegetation. Originally named Big Creek State Park but changed in 1957 to end confusion with other like named public areas.

The campground is right in the midst of broad, sandy beach that makes this spot great for kite flying, watching storms, sunsets and whales. Every campsite is just a few steps away from the beach.

The Camping
General Information:
The campground is open seasonally March 15 - Oct. 31, weather permitting.
This campground is close to great beaches, tide pools and lighthouses.
There are no sewer hookups nor is there a dump station. Find a dump station:
at Washburne state park, 17 miles south; or
at South Beach state park, 17 miles north.
Fees:
All Fees are subject to change.
Camping:
32 Electrical sites: $31.00
42 Tent sites: $21.00
Hiker-biker; $8.00 per person
Campground Includes:
The campground has rest rooms with flush toilets and hot showers.
Each site has paved parking, picnic table, fire ring
Firewood is for sale on site for $5.00 a bundle.
