PCT in Oregon
The portion of the PCT in Oregon is 455 miles and spans from near Siskiyou Summit, elevation 4,310 in the south of Oregon to the Washington border. The entire state is in the Cascade Range which here is a subdued volcanic landscape with a near constant elevation.
The low elevation is on Bridge of the Gods, elevation 180 feet, which includes a 3,160 foot climb down to the Columbia river. and the high elevation is a saddle near Mount Thielsen, elevation 7,560 feet.
Volcanoes in this section include: Mount McLoughlin, Mount Mazama (Crater Lake), Diamond Peak, the Three Sisters, Mount Washington, Three Fingered Jack, Mount Jefferson, Mount Thielsen and Mount Hood.
