Family Tayassuidae [peccaroes, 3 genera, 3 species];
The family Tayassuidae, (know as javelin, peccary or skunk pig) are New World pigs found throughout Central and South America and in southwestern North America.
Peccarries, native to the Americas have often been confused with old world pigs or Suidae, because some domestic pigs brought across from Europe have escaped and over the years now run wild in some parts of North America and are called razorback hogs.
A peccary usually measures from 3.0 to 4.3 feet in length and a full grown adult weighs from 45 to nearly 90 pounds.

The 2020 Journey, Peccary Go Down Go Up
Tuesday, 1 December 2020, Falcon Heights, TX.
(Day 833 TG) 40°F. 6:30 am, sun
Falcon State Park
A short time later, a cactus wren (I had to look in my bird book for this one) flies to the suet feeder and I quickly grab my camera and get two shots before his is gone but only the second photo is good.
He comes back a little later and I am able to take a couple more shots. Later, a javelin sow pig and her juvenile stroll through camp. Wow, what a nice day for wildlife photography.
