Eastern Kingbird
This species of flycatching-billed song bird, the Eastern Kingbird is the only songbird in the Eastern United States with a white tipped tail. Gray Kingbirds, which share the Eastern′s range in Florida have a gray tail

Description
Length: 8 1/2 inches
Conspicuous, aggressive, noisy, territorial.
Blue-black above with black on crown and side of face. White below with a pale gray wash on breast. Tail is black with a white terminal band.
Immature has a darker wash on breast.

Habitat
Seen in open areas, woodland edges, expanding westward, declining in the east

Migration (fall and spring):
Breeding (summer):
Summer and nesting: Eastern north America from Canadian maritimes to Florica and west across the Great Plains and up into the Rocky Mountain foothills.
