Order: Passeriformes, Family: Passerellidae
Genus: Spizella, Species: Pusilla, L 5 3/4 inches

Range
Seen in the eastern parts of the continent across the plains but not in the front range.
Habitat
Found in overgrown field, brush, and briars but usually avoids backyards. Small flocks in winter.
Description
White eye ring, rusty crown and streak behind eye. Pink bill and pink legs. White wing bars and unstreaked gray under parts.
Juvenile duller and has streaks on under parts.
