Up later this morning than usual, start the jammer and drive to the shower house to get into the hot water. Then, I return to the camp and put on my tea pot to boil water and then I see Laura walking by with her dog. She walks up to my campsite to give me a couple packets of instant coffee and we talk for a few minutes. When she leaves to continue walking her dog, I return to my tea pot and use the hot water to make my regular breakfast.

Then, I hear the call of a bird I do not recognize but soon after see a golden fronted woodpecker land on a tree next to my site and it begins making a lot of noise, methinks, some what like a chicken. I take a couple of photos but the woodpecker leaves quickly never visiting my suet. I hope he comes back and does land on the suet feeder, which will provide some up close photos. Upon looking at the photos, I see just a little of the red atop his crown, making this bird a male

After dayspring, I am able to get a good view of the large lake this park is adjacent to. Also, I take a second hot showers this morning. Before falling to sleep last night, I began thinking that I would resume the campsite rating system (CRS) originally used while on the Appalachian Trail and used it to rate Falcon State Park shown above in the campsite header.
