The Geyser Rainbow Go Down Go Up
Wonder of Wonders
There is one location on this continent where a rainbow geyser can be seen fairly easily. This location is Yellowstone national park in Wyoming,
In fact, Yellowstone is filled with wonderment and there are so many different types of wonders in this park. However, one wonder stands out above all the rest as the one that is most amazing. What is this wonder of Wonders? It is the rarely seen geyser bow.
However, what is even more amazing is that there are hundred of geysers in Yellowstone and at each geyser, many of which have eruptions that are often predictable, a viewing of a geyser bow, however rare, is quite possible.

Viewing a Geyser Bow
The requirements for viewing a geyser bow are:
(a) the sun must be to your back;
(b) the sun should be 30 degrees or less above the horizon (three hands high);
(c) there should be no clouds in the sky around the sun which block the sunliht;
(d) the wind, if blowing should be blowing perpendicular to the sun rays; and
(e) the geyser should be putting out lots of mist and or steam.

Persistence
(f) The final requirement for viewing a geyser bow is to stick with it, keep coming back time and time again. Most all the times that I have been at a geyser in order to be able to see the geyserbow, there was not one, and often, when I do see one, it is normally so faint so as to not be able to get a clear photograph of it. So, what does a photographer do?
Keep coming back and be there for the next eruption of the geyser.
