After overnighting in the city of Sulphur Springs, Texas for two weeks while awaiting the 08 April 2024
total solar eclipse, I finally decide to check out the local water supply, which is an earthen dammed reservoir called Sulphur Springs Lake. I arrive there in time to check out the area and then determine the best location to watch and photograph the sun set.
It turns out the the sunglow was nearly non existent but the suntouch was very nice, best that I have seen this year, and lasting for more than five minutes allowing for several photos.
