For nearly two months, I have been on the Texas state parks path, stopping at one after the next. I even began a Facebook series entitled Winter in Texas and already have created five parts. I have been thinking about this series, which I did not begin until 19 November, after I had been camping at these state parks for about a week. In fact, I had officially begun by my camping in the panhandle of Texas at Palo Duro Canyon state park on Day 185 TN, after my drive east for a dip in the hot water at Hot Springs, Arkansas.
Now, as the winter arrives, I have come to the bottom of Texas to sojourn here for the start of another year. With Falcon state park near the 99
th longitude, it is fast becoming a desert location and the lake within the park has become like most all rain fed lakes on the
dry side of the continent.
