Description:
Some of the best preserved fossils are found in the flat-topped ridges of the cold sagebrush desert of southwestern Wyoming.
There is an abundance of fossils, both in the variety and detail of preservation found in these fossil beds, including fossils of: fishes, insects, plants, reptiles, birds, and mammals.
Too, the most remarkable feature is the story they tell of ancient life in the warm, wet environment in and around a freshwater lake.

This park is located in southwest Wyoming in a sparsely populated area where often, there is a hundred miles separating the towns. The address is 864 Chicken Creek Road, Kemmerer, WY 83101

There is no camping nor places to eat in the park. Cell service is limited, but the visitor center has WiFi.
