LAST WEEK, THE LOCAL LIAISON BETWEEN the city and volunteer workers, Mark requested a temporary occupancy permit so that the circuit overseer′s visit could convene in the new Hall.

Mark approached the city planners and said that he had two proposals. The city planner said “Ok, let me hear it” so Mark said, “We are having special meetings this week on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and Sunday morning and would like a temporary occupancy permit.” The city planner agreed to give us the temporary permit especially since we are less than a week away from getting the final occupancy permit. Then, the city planner then asked “What was the second proposal?” Mark answered, “Well, if you hadn′t given us the temporary permit, I was going to let you know that on Tuesday evenings at seven, Thursday evenings at seven and Sunday morning at ten, we were going to have a large group of volunteers in the Hall doing special cleaning work.

Overnighting in the garage
Arriving at six pm, I take the cones out of the drive way and park my van. When I stopped by earlier today to put away the garbage bins, I noticed that there were some ruts in the seeded ground where someone had turned around, so I brought my rock rake to clean up the mess. However, when I arrived, the ground was already raked out and some small wire flags were placed around the dirt. Next, I got to the front of the Hall, open the door and place my book bag on my seat. Then, I get my camera ready to take some photos when the friends begin to come in.
The meeting is very encouraging, I guess it is so since it is a circuit overseer′s visit, and one new to the circuit. After telling us about himself and his wife, he informs us of the schedule of the upcoming week. During the week at the meeting for field service each day, he will be relating to us the new understanding as divulged at the Annual meeting.

This morning and yesterday morning I met for field service. The circuit overseer, Dennis conducted and informed those present of the latest light on the scriptures as disclosed at the annual meeting.

and the clearer understanding is about the identity of the servant (slave), the household (domestics) and the goods (belongings).
The time frame of this verse is set in verse 46 with the words “when he cometh” which is the Greek word el·thon´ and literally means “having come” or arriving. This time frame refers to 1919 and forward when the slave class was identified.
The faithful slave is the governing body not the entire group of anointed ones. The domestic are all of Jehovah′s witnesses here on the earth, both the anointed and other sheep. The belongings are all of what Jesus owns both in heaven and on earth, thus the appointment over all of the master′s belongings is yet future. Such wonderful light that makes so much sense.

I arrive at half and hour before the meeting starts and immediately notice the damage made to the parking lot. Someone had driven down the street and plowed down into and across the east rain garden entrance, then back up through the curb across the concrete and then through the back curb and landed in the south east end of the rain garden. The vehicle had been removed from the scene of the accident and the damage left. Mike and Roger decided to go to the police station and report the damage.

I then go into the hall and begin taking photos of the friends and later find that there is 125 in attendance, a lot more than our normal seventy or eighty. There are several studies who attend for the Circuit Overseer′s talk “Benefit from Walking with God now and in the future.” It seems that the Hall is now finished after such a long time building it. It was just about six months of work here in Oak Harbor and now it seems strange that we are no longer wearing the hard hats and ID badges when we come to the Hall. Nevertheless, it is a good feeling having the Hall completed.
The dedication ceremony has been scheduled as follows: English: Saturday, 22 June at four pm. Open house from ten am until two pm. Spanish: Sunday, 23 June 2013 at four pm.
