Series Information
This lunar saros series 121 for moon′s descending node, began on 06 October 1029 and will end on 18 March 2508. It contains 82 members which will lunar eclipses, and will last 1479.5 years.
In lunar saros series, the total eclipses are in division 3 and include members 27 through 55, which member 55 occurred on 26 May 2021. This saros series will now continue with member number 56 on 06 June 2039 which will be a partial eclipse.
The most recent member of this series was the last total lunar eclipse on May 26, 2021. The next member on June 6, 2039 will be the first partial lunar eclipse from the second set of partial lunar eclipses of this series.
The longest totality occurred at series member 26, on October 18, 1660, lasting 100.5 minutes.
This lunar saros series is liked to the Solar Saros Series 128.

On 26 May 2021, there was a total lunar eclipse that was centered of the south Pacific. This eclipse was also be seen over southeast Asia and southwest north America. Other areas in Asia and north America will be able to see limited portions of this eclipse.

This is the member 55 of lunar saros series 121 and the last total eclipse of the series. The next member, number 56 will occur on 06 June 2039 and will be a partial eclipse over the south India Ocean.
