(Day 748 TG) 46°F. 6:30 am, overcast
At eleven this morning, I pack out and resume my journey south on US 285, then SH 17 drive over Cumbres Pass, stop for a couple photos of the train station, and then down along the Chama river continuing on SH 17 to Charma, New Mexico then south on US 84 almost all the way to Espanola, but I take the SH 74 cut off near the Yungue Owingeh Bridge over the Rio Grande river and stop again for photos here.

The 2019 Gallery Yungue Owingeh Bridge Go Down Go Up
(Day 227 TG) 50°F. 7:00 am, sunny
Methinks it is time to move a little further north. I pack out and drive first up SR 68 to the Ohkay Owingeh reservation and drive west on SR 74 to cross the bridge over the Rio Grande and when doing so notice a bypassed bridge just down river. I drive to the bridge, take photos of it and give it the name Yungue Owingeh Foot Bridge and decide to add it to my Truss Bridge gallery, which means that I will most likely be coming back through this area.
In my travels here, I have made several friends, such as Bruno, who drive a beautifully restored 1968 Camero, as well as others. On future visits, I do hope to see them again.
