The Lake McDonald Lodge is within Glacier National Park located on the southeast shore of Lake McDonald. The lodge is a three and a half story structure with the foundation and first floor walls built from stone and a wood-frame superstructure.

The lobby spans a large, open space that extends to the third floor, has a massive fireplace and has a concrete floor scored in a flagstone pattern with messages in several Indian languages inscribed into it.

Upon arriving, I walk up to the lodge and there is a bell person at a desk outside who tells me that the public is not allowed in the lodge unless they are staying in one of the rooms. This is so due to the current pandemic, but at least it is open for customers.
