The Cart Creek Bridge Go Down Go Up
Information:
The Cart Creek Arch bridge is also known as the Flaming Gorge Reservoir and is the longest single span in the state with a 550 foot span.

The 2019 Journey, Cart Creek Bridge Go Down Go Up
Wednesday, 08 May 2019, Rock Springs, WY.
(Day 260 TG) 33°F. 6:00 am, rainy
Awake to a cold morning, dress in my winter blues, drive to the w-mart and go in for coffee, com, and computer. When I go out to the jammer to get something to eat, the wind is blowing so cold and hard that it bites at any exposed skin. I go back in to have my Daystart and look online where I can drive to south of here for warmer weather and decide on Grand Junction, CO. I also check the weather radar and see the only snow is east of my location making the drive south clear.
I am out of here. I pack out, drive to the af-mart to buy some of the very inexpensive gasoline and then begin the drive south on US 191 back through the beautiful snowscapes on the three summits over 8100 feet.

(Day 259 TG) 50°F. 6:00 am, sunny
Up at daybreak, start the jammer and begin the day's dry, all of it on US 191, well, except for a couple of stops along the way for photos. This highway is such a scenic route and this trip it is entirely different from my drive after leaving Yellowstone on last year for two reasons.
First, I am driving north and see an entirely new perspective. Second, in September, the aspen were in fall foliage, and now, they are all bare of any leaves

The 2018 Journey, Cart Creek Bridge Go Down Go Up
Friday, 14 September 2018, Yellowstone, NP, WY.
(Day 24 TG) 42°F. 7:00 am, cloudy
Awake just before the suntouch, dress, walk inside to set up my computer at my regular desk and after doing so, walk to the restroom for a hot shower. When I have obtained the clean feeling once again, I return to my office and begin today's journal entry after which I walk downstairs to the deli for some hot water to make a cup of tea.
After a short morning with the key pounding, I pack out and return to the jammer. Then, I drive to the post office and deposit a pack of cards addressed to some of my friends. I only wish I knew more of the mailing addresses so I could send out more post cards.
Then, I turn on my battery charger and begin driving south on US 191, the same highway that I have been driving south on since leaving Bozeman, Montana.
