After sleeping in this morning, I rise, dress in my spring blues, start the jammer, drive back up on Coke Street and when I arrive at SH 22, I turn left and drive into Hillsboro, Texas, and just have to stop at a mural of
Willie Nelson on the side of a building and take a couple of photos.
Then, I drive the rest of the way through town and west another 12 miles to Whitney, Texas, through town again and then southwest on SH FM 1244 to Lake Whitney State Park, where I get a day pass from the park ranger. We talk for a time during which I tell her that I am a umbraphile, (eclipse lover) and explain some of the term that are used in the study of astronomy.
