The Wall Murals of Cut Bank Go Down Go Up
Thursday, 02 October 2025, Whitefish, Montana.

Journey On, Day 63
As I drive out of Glacier National Park, immediately, I enter the Blackfoot Nation Reservation and see several tribal signs written in English and the Blackfoot language, which is called Nitsi'powassin. After driving east from Browning, I drive through the rest of the reservation, and arrive in Cut Bank, a city just to the east, outside of the reservation and while driving through this city, I notice a couple of murals painted on the sides of buildings, and drive around the block to find one. When I located one in particular, I park the jammer in a parking space in town, along the side of US 2E, get out and begin to explore.
The one mural that I am totally impressed with is what I am now calling, "Salmon in Shallow Water" I found located on the west face of a building adjacent to the City Hall. I take a couple of photos of this mural thinking I will create a page in my Modern Man Gallery to display the photo.

Then, I notice that there is another mural, walk to this one and take a photo as well.
The names that I have given to each of the murals are not something that I was provided with nor learned from some catalogue, but of from my own creating, that which was given rise from my viewing the murals.

Continuing to explore the downtown area, I find another, then another, and I realize that this Montana town is one which contains many artist who love murals as much as I do.

Methinks
My final thoughts about this Montana Town is that I did enjoy myself here, in searching out the many wall murals, but also in meeting some of the local artist and shop keepers.
In fact, I traded books with one artist and I have begun reading "The Sojourner′s Folklore" having read several of the titles.
