The campground is located at exit 353 of IH 84 in Oregon, then take US business 30 north towards Huntington along the Snake river for about one an a half miles to the park entrance on the right.

Camping here in a desert environment upon the banks of the Snake River′s Brownlee Reservoir. There are historic markers and displays that provide information on the significance that this location was for the Oregon Trail.

This campsites provides a home base if you wish to explore the the Snake River Water Trail and other area ammenities.

I would like to walk down to the river but the steep trail prevents me from doing so. The problem is not so much walking down to the river, gravity will do most of that, but it is the climb back up is what I am afeard of.

When the sun arrives at suntouch, I step outside to enjoy the colors.

Awake to a very windy morning and decide that there it too much wind to light my stove, so I dress in my spring blues and step outside to open the rear lift door and retrieve some food items, those which will enable me to have a cold breakfast and cold drink.
