Pine Springs RV Campground, Guadalupe Mountains National Park
This campground is located just off of US 62/180 in west Texas near the southern border of New Mexico. When you enter the national park, you will come to a left turn before you arrive at the visitors center. If you turn left, you will come to the campground and trailhead.
This campground is a simple, desert camping area situated at the base of the mountain.

Coordinates: 31.896000 -104.828000

Elevation: 5822 feet

Dog Canyon Campground, Guadalupe Mountains National Park
This campground is located is in a secluded, forested canyon on the north side of the park. Due to a slightly higher elevation, and protected location beneath steep cliff walls, it remains cooler than Pine Springs campground in the summer, and sheltered from strong gusty winds in winter and spring.
The campground has 9 tent sites and 4 RV sites but no dump station. Restrooms have flush toilets and sinks but no showers.
Campsites have picnic tables but there are no hookups.

This location is included it the Northern Sierra Madre Region of Texas, in the Guadalupe Mountains Ecoregion

Guadalupe National Park has over 86 miles of trail and three different ecosystems that can be explored including woodland canyons, lush riparian springs, and steep switchbacks that zigzag directly into the park wilderness
If you are looking to climb up to 8,000 feet of elevation or just looking for a moderate stroll in a canyon, Guadalupe National Park has the perfect trail for you and maps to download.
Or, if you just want to pass the night in a quite location on the steeps of Guadalupe Mountain, then this is the spot.
Little known to most about this national park is that within it′s boundaries is a world renown exposed reef of ancient marine fossils

The Camping
General Information:
Pine Springs campground consists of twenty walk in tent sites, nineteen RV spaces in a parking lot and twenty or more trailhead parking spaces.
The RV spaces are designated by painted lines and numbers on the pavement.
Individual campsites are all at a First Come-First Served basis.

Fees:
$20.00 per night per sight.
Access and Senior pass holders receive half off.

Campground Includes:
There are a few scattered picnic tables in the non parking area.
There are flush toilets, one water spigot, a utility sink, an amphitheater and trash-recycling containers.
NO hookups, NO dump stations and NO showers.
Wood or charcoal fires are prohibited year round. Any cooking must be done by contained gas stoves.
